I have the misfortune to own one of those monster towbars complete with all the chains, air lines, feet & electrical connectors. When it was put into the container for storage, that was the last time it was moved & I can't move it anymore unless I do it with a truck or a small crane. Thought it...
Auction ends lately with stupid high prices due to two or more guys that think that the item they are bidding on is the last one available & since the wife is not looking, they bid away till one gets cold feet; hence the insane pricing aftermath we see. Add instant financing from GP & you have...
If you research the auctions, you will see that the latest lot of trailers come with a mix of wood, fiberglass & metal cover supports. The cover colors also are either tan or solid green & mostly new. To find kits or parts with out a trailer, have to go to the classifieds or a distributer who is...
No, not asphalt grinding machines, but high quality metal milling machines. Cincinnati Milicron comes to mind IIFC. I have two Deuces & am putting the second one together to get her on the road after changing out the cab top & hydraulic button in the pump.
Enjoy your truck as it will provide...
There are about 70 units left to clear off the lot & they are all in good to excellent rebuild condition. Good luck to those who need one or more while they last.
The towbar kits are not lightweight as they have an 84 k rating if I remember correctly. The weight of a single kit is 525 lbs on average, so shipping one is not going to be cheap. I bought half a dozen of these babies when they were offered & they work well. Moving them around is a different...
I picked up a complete hardtop for a Deuce @ the Bellview show this past weekend in great shape for $200.00 & a complete camo vinyl cover, bows & staves used a bit (unmatched), in a trade deal, for the same truck. Now the last Deuce is that much closer to getting on the road. The old top was...
I picked up another M-105a2 for the herd with bows & cover in excellent rebuild condition only 15 miles from home. Will get to pick it up Monday after the rally in Bellview this weekend.
After assembly of everything but the cover.
I liked it when you could get the 1919A4kits @ Knob Creek, Kentucky for $250.00 years ago & build you own as a dummy or as a live item. Those days are long gone. I have a fellow SS member around these parts who owns a M38a1 & he put a replica M-60 in his truck for display. The 1919a4 suits it...
You are most likely closer to running than my Deuce due to a probable button that might have fallen off the hydraulic head before I got it; I still have to pull it to see.
Good luck with your truck.
Watching this thread to get hints on getting my 2nd Deuce started. As the weather starts to cool down & no more hurricanes show up, one of us will get our trucks running first.
I had an issue today with Gov Planet today during the morning auction that was almost a disaster for me. I will not put it out there as they fixed the issue as promised, so it is now not a problem; I did lose the auction that I so sorely wanted to get, but that is just my loss & another will...
Great use of an ex military piece of equipment. You have done a great job of making yours work. I am trying to get an electrical equipment unit like a 250 to go in a M-1102 trailer for camping during the military shows down here in Florida, they are tuff to find for a fair price. Post some more...
