Could be you balance beads are distributing around the tire at 40. Might want to swap a set of wheels and tires on and see if it is still there??? I think I would have tried that before pulling a converter....the beads don't balance the tires until centrifugal force distributes them around the...
YUP, about what both of mine looked like. Ran long enough for me to call rescue and have the kid tow me back ( I think he enjoyed it, laughed the whole time, 3 times)
Remove fuel tank and clean ( you are going to be surprised what is in there). REMOVE fuel filter housing and clean and replace fuel filter. Post a picture of the inside of your tank! If you have the inspection/fuel sender access plate in the bed pull that and then the sender and have a look...
Fig. 192 seams to show a stamped perch with 12338316-2, is that correct for the rear. And has anyone swapped these with the progressive springs? Any "softer" ??? I know that's an oxymoron.
Yes there is,. Made by POWER SERVICE. Just ounces for 25 gallons. Its difficult to measure into the tank. I mix it into 5 gallons of fuel so 1 quart treats 15 gallons of fuel, add a quart before I top off with about 15 gallons , no waste. I'm guessing the tank still needs a wash job at a...
Before you remove the pump(lift pump) remove the vent hose ON THE TOP OF THE FUEL PUMP. It should be dry. If you have a bad enough fuel pump to cause the shut down it should be squirting fuel out the vent when running. Let us know what you find.
If your truck has the rectangular cover in the bed behind the passenger seat side, remove that to reveal the fuel sender. Round thing 2 wires 5 or 6 machine screws. Pulls straight up. These things are translucent and you can see in them easily. The pickup with the sock is straight down. The box...
You are correct sir there is a bypass in the round end. My 998 had so much algae and rust gunked up it was pretty much stopped up completely. An acid dip fixed it. The 1123 had split open along the side. Dremel tooled off,new one was press fitted with epoxy. The white smoke indicates the real...
Looks like he had a clean fuel filter, that leaves the tank pickup. All the smoke something is not right if it is getting plenty of clean fuel. You are right the ATF will not do anything for the growths in the fuel but might degunk the pump and injectors, cheaper than a rebuild, Worked on the...
Topo is right the lines can collapse but they are rather short on the suction side on the trucks. The pickup sock in the fuel tank is also suspect along with the IP screen, though I don't have any experience with the IP screen. I just replaced the sock and fuel sender (rusted away) in a truck...
I have a suggestion, remove your fuel filter housing from the firewall and inspect it. If it has a slimy black looking substance in the bottom your fuel is contaminated. It stops up the water strainer ( the green thing) . If you were not aware you can get microorganisms growing in the fuel. I...
