When have the fuel filters (primary/secondary) been changed? How old are the fuel hoses?
I had this problem with mine; air was getting into the fuel lines due to age & dry-rotting/cracking, enough fuel was struggling up to the IP to make it seems like it should start, but the engine was still...
As Jake said, I got mine off eBay around 2015-ish for my Deuce and 5-ton, as well as the ceramic connectors to handle the higher heat....I installed the Packard connectors to the ceramic connectors and they work GREAT. Around 5 years of steady use out of them and haven’t had any problems since...
That’s why I usually keep a bin full of old hoses; they make great protective wraps for cables, wires, and other hoses. Clean them as best as I can and save them for future re-use.
Looking good Brad, keep up the great work!
Brad I’ve been following your posts when I can; good on you for taking this on, and I appreciate you sharing your progress with us. I’m with you in spirit since I can’t be there physically, keep up the good work and be safe my friend.
This happened to me on my Deuce several years ago, and it involved a small piece of something blocking the small relief (pinhole) in the master cylinder. I managed to get a welding torch tip cleaner into it to clear the blockage, but had to remove everything & flush the lines later to make sure...

Another big THANK YOU to James:
I bought one of his newer Deuce head gasket kits (with the fire rings); James got me a shipping quote that was agreeable and he went ahead and shipped it to me before he even confirmed his email addy for payment....he said we’ll settle up after it arrives. (y)...
Yes, I’ve had the same issues with aftermarket frames; I’ve had to disassemble and reuse the original hinge portion with the new side/lower frames. Otherwise I had the same problems you ran into.
I won a large tent out of the North Las Vegas warehouse back in November...paid for item and drove down from Utah to pick item up, only to be told that it couldn’t be found. Turns out it had been sold previously back in August, the previous owner let it go into Abandoned status, and when he...
As others mentioned, use a putty knife to work your way all around the oil pan to break it loose gradually.
Check the oil cooler seals as well to make sure no coolant is leaking into it...if you already have it apart, you might as well go through it all to prevent future repeats.
Make sure you...
