Got installed on the island - MEP-803a

OK, so I guess I should have said was this the first time you ran the set at anywhere near its capabilities? If you have the ability, you should be stepping up the machine (in terms of load) to see how it runs and performs up to (And above) 100% gauge read. Many surplused sets need TLC to get up...

Do you have any friends with a deckover trailer? These will fit on a standard 8' wide deckover. ****, being 3 hours your might even find it cheaper to find someone with a flat bed tow truck and get it 'towed' back to where you are, than paying through the nose from a shipping company. At the PA...

    mep 803 help

You really need to deoxidize all the contacts. If you found the compressed air helped clean one problem up, imagine what the right tool for the job can do? You need the chemical solution to remove the oxidation from the contacts on ALL switches. You might find that gauge might read after all...

    MEP-531a

Im considering grabbing one, just to mix it up. I do have a well, so it cant be used in my panel for that side, but might be nice over overnight runs just to keep the boiler and a few lights on.

How do people like these little sets? Seem feature limited at only 120V output, but I am sure they have uses. Always looking.

Ive never been forced to skid a genset, and I have moved many across the country.

    Generator repair

30-40% isnt gonna do it to clean a machine out unfortunately. You need to get that pig up to as close to 100% as you can.

How I removed Genset from wooden skid without hoist.

Nice work. More refined than my methods (tip and slide)

New MEP 803 Owner (So far very happy)

In the units I have inspected after changing, they are in very decent shape considering the trash that can accumulate in them.

Connected my MEP-803A the proper way as my home standby generator... Install pics...

All you need is black iron pipe (believe its 1.25" from memory) and a black iron union with female threads on both sides. Just acts as a coupler, you then run whatever height pipe you want. A lot of guys run tractor flaps on the top after that.

Hopefully your canister drains clean, and you have no reason to remove. With that said, if you DO... save yourself time and effort and simply remove the upper side sheet metal panel next to it. It will allow you to get your filter wrench as high up on the canister as you can get, for maximum...
