get it fixed yet? usually it is just the pressure switch, however i have come across a 900 series 5ton that i replaced the pressure switch and even the control box in the cab and still would not go off.. i should have just cut the wire to the buzzer.. it wasnt one of my trucks, we were working...
from what i remember, i believe my m816 weighed about 34K lbs.. dont know the exact weight of the top off my head.. found a good write up about a m816, but have since lost it...

have you tried pulling the signal level outward and rotating it as far up as you can? this is the hazard light position... try it before you start rewiring..
