    Turret Leak Fix Materials

Thanks. Yes, I will be mocking everything up (as per your previous advice) before torquing this thing down. I was hoping the added weatherstripping would work, since it provides some cushioning and possibly a little leak prevention. Once I get the tray on maybe I'll come up with better ideas for...

    Turret Leak Fix Materials

I assume this is the biggest problem... water leaking around the bolt holes. Couldn't I use the rubber from a large-enough inner tube to cover this "channel"? Maybe cur it to fit around the ring and then seal it under the little stock seal, over the bolt channel and then seal it to the roof...

    Turret Leak Fix Materials

Gentlemen, To prepare for the eminent leaks this winter, I am attempting the instructions in the attached newsletter. It calls for a specific inner tube, which I am unable to find. Has anyone attempted this, or have the inner tube they can mail me? It's NSN 2610-00-051-9602

    HMMWV Half Shafts

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I understand the part numbers for the compatible A2 halfshafts are: RCSK17028-1 (Rear) RCSK17028-2 (Right Front) RCSK17028-3 (Left Front)

    HMMWV Hardtop Roof Installation Pictures

That's a good one. It covers most of it, thanks.

    HMMWV Hardtop Roof Installation Pictures

Yes, the C-pillar support bar and brackets out of the sponsons (I'm doing a GMV). And no, I'm not using any soft top components. I have all the right parts. I got an answer on the mounting of the C Pillar components from a friend (by doing a mock-up so the holes get drilled in the right place)...

    HMMWV Hardtop Roof Installation Pictures

Has anyone documented the installation of a hardtop roof on a HMMWV? I am in the process now, and having some trouble with a few things. Specifically with attaching the C-Pillar to a truck that's never had the holes drilled. The TM's are great, but don't cover it all. Any pictures or...

    AS-3900 Antenna for CB Radio?

Newbie to the Radio world so I apologize if this is a stupid question. Can someone tell me if the AS3900 antenna will work with a standard range civilian CB Radio, and get AM/FM Waves as well? I am looking to add one to my truck with a civilian radio communication setup.

    Provo!

    Topless is better!

Yeah, that was just before the jackrabbits starting coming out of the bushes. Although the moon didn't help us much. Darker is better I think.

    Noise dampening in HMMWV

From what I know, you don't want to reflect heat back into a HMMWV's engine. Those things need as much cooling as they can get.

    Topless is better!

Took the boys out west for a rabbit hunt over the weekend and decided to take the Humvee's top off. Man, I never knew this beast could go down the road so smooth! Rides much better without the rattling doors and top. Think I'll leave it off for awhile, until the snow flies maybe.

    Govplanet pickup /Barstow

Yes, the POC at Barstow is AWESOME. If you pickup an item at MCLB, you will be well taken care of.

    55,250 dollar lol

This auction will probably be cancelled and you'll see this truck rolled back into a future auction.

    55,250 dollar lol

Wow. Looks like a pretty standard truck. 6.2 even... "Lo miles" but no sign of overhaul... That would be its saving grace...

    GP preview

Depends on the site. At the Barstow base, the GP Rep (John) is awesome. Very helpful. You do have to fill out the paperwork through GP, but once you get there you will be well taken care of.

AC Install on a Hardtop (Non-Slantback)

Me too. I'm just wondering how viable an option that is for a GMV.

AC Install on a Hardtop (Non-Slantback)

How about those condenser kits that install in the wheel well? NSN: 2540-01-558-3450, PN: 5717186 Would that work? https://www.real4wd.com/zedSuite/catalog/partdetail.aspx?PartNo=5717186

AC Install on a Hardtop (Non-Slantback)

Gotcha. No box in the back for mine... Just a standard early-style SF GMV-S type truck, with the bed rails & rear shelf. I wouldn't mind installing a rear wall if I could mount an AC on it, but I haven't seen that done before.
