There are two big arse flat pads which run vertically with some serious bolts that couple the trailer to the tractor... You'd have a pretty awesome plow truck were you to put a tow bar on it and raise the landing legs....
It lives...
Well a little macgyver rigging to mate the CV crane shaft and hold the power divider up close did the trick... Got everything hooked up, drivelines on and the boxes filled with oil...
Used the forklift to gravity fill the crane tank with hydraulic oil from a storage tank and did a...
I got pulled over in my duece towing a 30ft flatbed trailer with a jeep cherokee on the back - the Trooper was very cool - She never even asked for any paperwork (once she got her head around the fact it was a private vehicle) and just suggested for ease of travel that I just stop in the weigh...
I am pretty sure I have access to one but shipping will be harsh - let me check with him tomorrow on what he'd want for it...
How soon would you need it?
EDIT : Talked with Brad today and he said give him a call in the evening at 360-400-1694 (pacific time) and he has a complete base plate...
Also if you need to get the upper two in the frame out you will have to take the u-bolts and lifting bracket off the spring - make sure the truck is blocked up well and it helps to have a floor jack on each axle so the spring can be neutral and just rest on the walking beam pivot... Or one tire...
I swapped all mine to longer arms when I stretched the axles for the 14.00's - the trick is as follows:
Strike the top and side of the mount the stud it is stuck in; you will need to hit the to and side of the bracket quite hard - use a wedge of steel or a prybar between the differential and...
I'll add to that list of very happy customers - every time over the last few years it's been a pleasant and productive exchange - thanks again guys!
Matt
I doubt you would break anything - likey the fuse will be between the tires and the ground if you overload it.... I used mine (m543a2) in double tandem with a tired m816 and an 800 series tractor to pull out a 25ton capacity crane that was sunk into the ground after sitting a few years...
A frame parts
Hey guys - I am putting together a M543 and am missing one of the long pins that goes to the base plate of the A-frame bars.
Also looking for the cross bar that goes between the two A-frame legs to keep them from kicking out...
I might have an extra set of spade bars to trade...
My 6 bolt Budd converted rims (originally 10 bolt budd) - 10 stud 3/4" diameter use a 20" o-ring with a 1/4" cord diam, the 20 stud 5/8" diameter rims on my M-543a2 use a 20" o-ring with a 3/8" cord...
Finally I have one spare rim that uses a triangular cross section ring which is molded...
Just some more reading material for you guys - I think the 14.00's just fit the lines of the truck and wheel openings better...
I have 16.00's on my wrecker and they work just fine as is - ie: bolt on
The duece took a bit more work (wheels and suspension) but the size and road speed are nice...
Thanks - I built it myself - wanted to go to the larger lunette eye and not have the trailer run uphill...
With the 14.00's on the duece the pintle hook is about 36" off the ground! I made an 8" drop for the trailer out of 3/4" plate and then just ran some tube back for braces...
Needs a...
I could use that water outlet, fan, and fan tensioner on my cletrac with a WXCL Herc motor...
Not sure how the water pump is set up on the RXC but I need one as well...
I know - I was thinking the same thing - I talked with some mini-excavator guys in the midwest about getting an all rubber replacement tracks - the are 4" pitch (100mm) with 76 grousers and 14" (355mm) wide - should be able to get a track made by one of these guys that list tracks for all sorts...
They are a factory piece - must have been super low production - check out this picture from the last page of that PDF I put up - tandem operation!
That's a great picture Cat Man - never seen a color shot like that - the used all the cletrac running gear but not sure if there was two...
