My renewal came from DMV. It says I need a DEQ Certificate of Compliance. Whoa... I thought that there was some code in the VIN that keyed them to recognize my CUCV as exempt?
Anyone that can shed some light... especially Oregonians.
rickf,
I think you just misread and misquoted. This may be my fault for throwing such a large post at you before the coffee kicked in.
Definition outboard: 2. (Transport / Nautical Terms) (Engineering / Aeronautics) in a position away from, or further away from, the centre line of a vessel or...
rickf, I didn't initially plan to replace the spindle bearing- I was just trying to find the erratic noise that seemed to be coming from the front wheel. I anticipated a wheel bearing replacement or a lock-out replacement. I bought both and got the wheel bearings in and buttoned up before...
Jet, no worries, I believe all is good here. Since I expected a different job on the hub and wheel bearings, I approached the driver side with some caution. First 4x4. The parts that were missing were located and I tried to put them in as per the manual. I came up a 1/8" too short. Simply...
porkysplace, I did get it out with the help of a vice grip and two screwdrivers I used to walk it out until I could get a pick behind it. Thanks for your post and link.
Annual Services? Well if this Blazer had come to me new and I had time to keep track of every possible thing that could go wrong and stayed up on it, I wouldn't need to learn how to repair things. I guess I would be living happily in a world where I just wake up each day an go out to my rigs and...
I got the feeling that the parts we are missing (9&10) are not holding the lock-out on; rather, they are holding the locking/ring w/tang/adjusting nut group from loosening and working outboard from the outer bearing.
Does anyone have a civvy book showing these parts?
The grinding I hear in my front driver's side wheel turned out to be the wheel bearing. I knew I was having to remove the wheel to check so I thought I might make some upgrades while I was at it. I bought a new WARN manual lock-out set (1/4 turn) and have it standing by.
Just now I got the back...
The parts Hasdrubal is referring to are the ones indicated in his drawing from the-20P TM. Under the uniquely M1009 section for wheel bearings.
In that section they advise that these parts are spec'd on all the M1009 models regardless of the changes from 1984 (items 14 & 15 indicate the only...
I have the manual. It simply says to remove it... How? I tried to grab it with needle nose'- no go.
Here is the drawing and what I have out so far. Notice the apparently broken washer(spacer) I pulled out- lay inside of the ammo can top. I didn't see one like it in the drawing?!? It is twisted-...
I am presently running a modified air cleaner that includes the K&N filter shown. It flows well; but as some here pointed out when I first presented it, it does nothing to lessen the noise.
I always liked the idea of plumbing the snout to the front of the radiator support as the Civvy models...
Can this AC bracket be used for the 6.2 we have in the Blazers? I don't know if any existing equipment would be in the way or the 6.2 mounting busses are different on 2009-2012 6.2 engines.
I found it online while looking for one that would allow AC in a stock Blazer...
I had this same issue with fuel returning to the tank when parked uphill. It seems my problem was a break in the fuel line from fuel pump to IP. Replaced it and it is fixed.
Q: If the O-Ring is leaking after all these years, can't a simple o-ring replacement fix this for a few more years at a...
To day I installed a new rear window regulator in my Blazer. The handle finally gave out and would not roll the tailgate window up or down. I thought it was the clutch at first; but it was the tiny crank gear between the two large elevator gears.
While I was in there I cleaned out the mud built...
