SRODocker,
I see that you have a couple vents on the front of your trailer. Are they the one that get used on 280 / 250 shelters? Did you do that or were they there when you got it?
I'm thinking of adding vents on the lower section, above the 105 bed, in the section that gets covered when its...
Been looking at dual filter bases for our WMO filtering. The question that I have is how do I tell if they are in series, or parallel, or are they all in series?
I'm finding links to units w/ very little info.
And what would be a good size for the spin on filter mount point, one that would let...
It is a bit of a hassle raising & pinning, I plan to do some work to change that. Once it's up it solid. All my other rigs have low headroom inside . . . I want one that doesn't.
Not so hard. It has a jack set-up that is put in the middle on the roof beam, unpin the four corners, jack up to full height, re-pin the corners, take the jack out.
The main prob is that the space between the inner wall & the outer walls is too much. It won't just slide up straight and sweet...
Does anyone have any info they can give me on this trailer. It's data plated as a 105.
Would like to know what it was used for (parts I think). Maybe a TM?
Have pulled the cabinets out and will make it a small camper for when I'm out alone . . . roughin' it.
Did find some treasures that I'll...
We did one more wheel/ tire mounting on a rear axle, much easier because we didn't have to stop the wheel from turning as we removed the 16 nuts holding it together.
That weekend we had a bit of a party and some friends helped us mount all the rest in one afternoon.
This is how it looked...
I (eye) did that path for awhile. Took about 20 years before I could see in 3D again.
So I can relate to that kind of world. (that is if you are serious)
It deff was a joint venture . . . she didn't do it all herself. BUT, she COULD do it herself if she was in the no-mans land. She could...
Have just put 5 wheels together, then I noticed that the last o-ring was larger in dia (it would wait to be the last one :( ). Thought that we had one that was the wrong size till I read this,
(Look up a local o-ring supplier (there's lots of them, more then you'd think). You need a 61" long...
Some of our "soon to be" mods
Part of why we bought these rims was the concept that we/ she would be able to change a tire w/o changing the rim . . . for those rare tire shredding situations ;)
So we mounted the first one w/ that in mind. First we had to mount the rim so that it would stay...
Thanks, The camo paint job, jobs really as most of our compound has that 4 color desert MERDC, is from the Military. Do have this paint by number sheet, it might help.
I've been watching your builds as well . . . but your EYE kind of creeps me out ;)
The M146 has the same floor (oak) w/o...
You're right, the only way to fill it (at this time) is to use a hose under pressure. I'm about to add a second fill for the other tank. Had some probs w/ trying to have them both fill off the same line. I'll now have a "Y" outside the box w/ a cut-off to each tank and separate vents. Then I'll...
Our water supply from the under futon tanks is delivered through some copper piping.
This was the first set-up,
After freezing it apart at the start of winter, we re-did it this way. Now the lines will drain. We also like the control of the spayer over just a hose bib.
We use the pipes...
As for the inside, this is what became of that.
The kitchen area
Futon lounge/ bed w/ 30gal of potable water in two tanks & a surflo pump under neath
Headboard storage (w/o the top and side door under the desk)
Desk space, next to a short closet.
Now that the major pieces have been...
Update
OK, it's been a year since I wrote that . . . feel like I should update :)
We've/ She's put 3000 miles on the "She Beast", in two long trips. Starting not long after that last post.
A trip up the Eastern Sierras and back down through Death Valley (the DV part mostly on dirt), and a...
We use it to carry 2 - bikes, 2 - 6volt batts (in an attached box), a can w/ potable water hose, pioneer tool rack (loaded), and have both stood on it at the same time (350lb).
It's not attached to the cab, it's mounted by the lift corners (all 4) of the box and has two feet pads mounted to the...
