s-250/g shelter need rear door parts

I think that the parts wanted forum is where your question belongs.

    .

Ok, with that in mind, how silly would it be for me to install a gun ring on my M936A1? Anyway, the cabover trucks haven't won me over yet, but I have to admit that M1089 looks pretty cool. Well, aside from being painted the wrong color except for the driver's door. I am...

Actuator, Air Fan Clutch for M923a1

I thought that they were built to run ATF, Allison recommends ATF, and the military used SAE10 motor oil just to simplify their logistics.

Deuce hauls an MK 18 Trailer

Even more interesting! I have a few 20ft ISO containers on my property that I need to move around someday. I'll probably just try dragging them with my M936A1 rear winch, but now you have me daydreaming about moving them with a self-loading RBU equipped with a towbar. But that would just be...

Deuce hauls an MK 18 Trailer

Very interesting! I did not know that there were tow bars that allowed those RBUs to be towed by a regular truck pintle. I'd guess that the driveshaft needs to be removed before towing to avoid unnecessary excitement.

    trouble searching

My kingdom for a regular expression! I have been unable to get the built-in site search to return results with all keywords present. For example, I tried to find threads in the classifieds section with both of the words "HMMWV" and "winch" in the title. I tried every variation I could think of...

    Ground Pressure 900 Series

I would think that ground pressure would necessarily be proportional to tire pressure, with some sort of adjustment based on tread pattern and how hard the ground is. I am not sure how the tread pattern would affect things in realistic conditions, though.

Nobody wants to insure my deuce!

Thank you. I need to get my M923 and M936A1 insured and titled. Both will get Historical plates because of reasons, but the garaging and no-off-roading requirements of other antique auto insurers won't work for me. I need to off-road just to get home, and garaging a pair of 5-tons is out of my...

Nobody wants to insure my deuce!

Is this the correct link for Gulfway? http://www.racensur.com/

Want to put A/C in a M925A1... anyone got pictures of their install?

Maybe that allows the A/C to override the fan clutch control in order to force the fan on when the A/C compressor is running?

Whats the best PRC radio for vehicle mounting.

The only US military radio I'm familiar with that can do both VHF FM and HF SSB is the AN/PRC-70. It can do AM/CW/USB, as well as FM above 30 MHz. I think there's a modification to let it do FM below 30 MHz, for use on the 10m band. It doesn't do LSB, and I don't recall if there's a mod for...

Restoration of the LVS Dragon train complete and back home

Did you show bring your truck to a local car show in Huntington Beach, CA this morning? A friend of mine who lives there and regularly attends the show sent me these pictures: http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?102872-Mk48-Sighting-in-Huntington-Beach-CA In any case, your truck looks...

    GL Condition Ratings

The condition codes would be pretty meaningless there, too. If you can't do an in-person inspection, then you're really gambling when you bid. Once you've been watching things for a while, you might be able to make a reasonable guess about the condition of a truck based on the description...

    M923 Gear Ratios

I think that redline is 2100 RPM. Did you account for both the transfer case and differential ratios?

M936 New hydraulic hoses and a little paint on wrecker bed!

On the topic of extra pintles, my M543A2 had a second full-sized pintle mounted underneath the regular one. Decals on the doors indicated that the truck was used by an aircraft maintenance facility, so maybe it was added to tow things like aircraft and tarmac equipment that would normally be...

M936 New hydraulic hoses and a little paint on wrecker bed!

If I recall correctly, the work lights that came on my M936A1 have molded plastic housings. My M543A2 (now owned by Big Mike) had metal ones. I don't know if and where NOS or good take-off work lights are available, but I thought you might like to know that there's a second variety that is...

M936 New hydraulic hoses and a little paint on wrecker bed!

You have been busy! Looking good!I wish that your cousin could listen to my hydraulic pump and hoist motor. They sound awfully loud to me, and I don't have enough crane experience to know whether I should be concerned. Despite the noise, my crane has been working well when I gave it some good...

    GL Condition Ratings

I think you're correct about that. Good luck, and welcome to the forum!

    GL Condition Ratings

The condition code ratings generally don't correlate well with reality. I recommend that you ignore the ratings and inspect any individual trucks that you are interested in bidding one.

    M923A1 Abs Light

I would apply air through the rear "emergency" glad hand on the passenger side. You will need a glad hand, which you can get inexpensively at a truck parts store. It doesn't hurt to get some extras to have on hand. Use some pipe fittings from an auto parts store, hardware store, etc. to connect...
