I'm no expert, but here are the signs of ABS that I know of from my truck:
ABS light on gauge cluster.
ABS sticker on windshield.
MWO tag on door jamb with correct number for the ABS mod. I don't remember the number off the top of my head, but I can look it up at home. Note that my truck has...
Wow! What a steal! I paid a lot more for my M923 out of Barstow. [thumbzup]
That was my thinking, too. I was hung up on the idea of an A2 for a while, but I finally decided that I could do without the CTIS when a very clean M923 appeared on GL. I did want ABS, though, and my truck has the ABS...
For springs like that, I usually order spring stock from McMaster-Carr, cut off a piece of the right length, and then bend the hooks in the end. They have both finished springs and spring stock that you cut yourself. I don't see anything with the same outside coil diameter or finished length as...
I just took a quick look at it on my iPad. Listings aren't displaying properly; I'll try it on my laptop tonight. I found that you can add items to your watchlist from the results list by clicking on the little eye under each listing. Pictures also aren't all properly matched to listings at the...
Lately, I have not been able to stay logged in to the site. Could this be related to the posting trouble? Is something happening on the site server which could cause me to get logged out, or is the problem more likely on my end?
I was about to open a new thread to report this and ask about it...
I think it looks great! I am interested in finding out how much it cost, and whether the liner quiets down the interior at all. Thanks for sharing the pictures!
I presently have (dead) 6TLs in my HMMWV. I got some of those Optima battery mounting adapters that give them the same footprint as a 6TL, and I plan to use a pair of Optima red-tops when I get back to working on my HMMWV. I have several other projects to work through before I get there, but...
It's still one of those "future projects" that I may never get around to, but I'm interested in retrofitting my M923 with regular lockable heavy truck door latch mechanisms, as used on things like fire trucks. I'd be entirely replacing the existing door handles and latching mechanism, and the...
After a bunch of searching, I figured out that the LVS manuals are in the TM-08780B series. Further searching quickly turned up the -10, -20, -24P and -34 manuals on the Scribd web site. If you google "TM 0780B", at least one of the manuals should be near the top of the list. You'll need to jump...
I don't see any unconnected plugs on my truck's capacitor down there. I doubt that open plug is the primary cause of your front axle problem, though. I think that the front axle engagement controls are all pneumatic.
Thanks again for your help that day! The M105 has moved to a new home, but the commo shelter still lives on the back of my HMMWV.
This weekend I'll be at the West Coast Mil Radio Collector's Group meeting up at Camp San Luis Obispo. I'll be giving a talk on the AN/GRA-71 code burst keyer...
It's normal for the axle lock light to not come on when shifting to low range; it's only lit up when engaging the front axle with the dash switch.
Other than that, though, it sounds like you have a problem. Since there was no air sound when manually tripping that valve under the truck, I'd look...
Folks, I apologize for the very late notice on this. The 17th annual meeting of the West Cost Military Radio Collector's Group is about to be held at Camp San Luis Obispo NCO Club in San Luis Obispo, CA. It'll be next weekend, on Friday May 4, 2012 and Saturday May 5, 2012. Details can be found...
Neither slamming the OP nor editing out the original question is very good behavior in my opinion. Come on, guys, we can do better than that.
Since I didn't see the original question, I'm going to guess what it might have been about and try to make a constructive response.
I may be mistaken...
I've read mentions of being able to upgrade the STE/ICE firmware before, but I haven't run across the software, hardware or documentation for doing it so far.
Mine has been on a shelf for many years since the last time I used it. It can do nifty things, but I usually just use a plain old...
I also joined the M939 series club recently. I don't have any road miles on mine yet because I'm waiting on registration paperwork, but I really like it so far. It's definitely a bigger beast than a deuce! The automatic transmission and power steering are really nice, and I trust the full air...
Oh, by the way: At the end of next week is the annual meeting of the West Coast Military Radio Collectors Group, in San Luis Obispo, California. If you can make it, then we can talk HMMWV radios in person. I won't have my HMMWV with me this year, though.

Thank you for the compliments!
So, are you going with the soft top 4--door configuration? You can do that either with or without the cover over the rear cargo area, since that's a separate piece. Also, the rear curtain of the 4-door passenger area cover is a separate piece, so you can remove it...
