I had a Mog do that to me: I took a steep climb and ran out of power. When the engine stalled I was unable to hold the truck using the brake. It was very confusing to lose control of the truck, have it sliding backwards and hearing the engine running (poorly) and billowing smoke out of the...
Welcome from South West Cuba.
My introduction to the 6.2 was when a neighbor showed me his civvy C30 some 15 years ago. He had lowered the compression, fitted a turbo and turned up the fuel. That truck would pull! Prolly not enough to blow air under your kilt, but for an old tired and cheap...
I am not having any luck with the search terms "3 point hitch" so I'd thought I'd ask y'all.
Has anyone hung a 3 point hitch on the rear of their deuce or do you have photos of the same to share?
I realize that front mounted 3 point hitches have been done..... that's not what I'm hoping to...
Interesting theory. And while I am certainly one of those you mention, I have observed that the price of rolling stock has risen up to and over the GL $10,000 limit for using credit cards. So I don't think the IP rules will have much impact.

Any way you can peer down into the carburetor while it's running at idle to see if there's fuel pouring out of the main nozzle? There should be nothing coming out the nozzle until you are well off idle.

There's nothing you don't already know about Boyce! I'd surmise they don't want to be bothered sourcing and installing cable!
Suggestion: If you are looking for a winch, just take it slow and troll the classified section of this forum from time to time. You will find that what you want will...
If it's not too late to check, I'd measure the collapsed width of the cylinders. comparing the left to the right. If they are the same I'd inspect the shoes carefully for warped backings, oversized lining or wrong configuration of the shoe frame.
You may try swapping the shoes from one side to...
How true! Welcome to the looney bin! I spend summers down on Buzzard Bay, so I thought I'd say hi!
There are some great OD resources for you in MA. Give a shout when you need something.
Rick
Hi David, welcome to the loony bin of OD! Of course we will assist you in draining your savings account and destabilizing your credit history! I'm sure the Indy boys will pipe up soon, so hold on for a few more minutes and meet the fellow addicts!

I rebuilt one without pulling the bumper. I disconnected the drive shaft and removed those special, shouldered bolts securing the winch to the brackets and cherry picked it out. Going back, I did have to use a Hi-lift jack to spread the frame a little.
The one I was working on had a sheared...
That's a nice looking truck! A bit rusty for sure but you will probably sort that out as time goes.
Did you perform the import of the vehicle or was it already in country?
Rick
I seem to recall a few people parting out tractors, maybe a drop cross member is available from one of them.
Is there much use for a rear winch on a tractor? With the truck having hydraulics already, I think that a winch might be useful.
Rick
Hey guys, is there a experienced and trusted member or company in the Atlanta or Wisconsin areas that knows the HET and can perform a pre-inspection for me? I'll be pleased as pink to pay a reasonable fee for this service, as it will save me airfare and rent-a-car costs.
I also am seeking load...
