    Any tail light housing differences?

Most of the time, each filament is a circuit. The way you explain it, you may have ended up with an extra wire from the harness hanging uselessly behind the lamp assembly, is that correct? Another question: if the new lamp installed wire for wire, maybe the incorrect bulb is installed in the...

Bought a Deuce but engine will not start.

Pardon me if you already confirmed this, but did you check for fuel supply to the HH at the inlet hose fitting? It should flow nicely with the hose removed while the main switch is on. Rick

    Fort Lauderdale, Florida anybody?

I'm down here in SE Florida today waiting to drop off a truck in port tomorrow morning. I have seen nothing but shallow, swamp conditions everywhere! If you go play, be sure to have a second vehicle with you for a mobile extraction anchor point! Best wishes with your relocation! Rick

no blinkers or hazzards! i'm going nuts!!!

I would have suggested poor grounds also, especially at the turn switch. Another possibility in your case given the history you mention is that there may be some incorrect bulbs installed, or the lamp wire connections are crossed. The turn switch wiring may also be incorrect. These errors can...

Adding multipurpose hydraulics to the deuce

Gerhard, regarding the mounting of the pump, is that front bearing section with the yoke a purchased item or did you assemble it? Rick

Adding multipurpose hydraulics to the deuce

Gerhard, thank you for these references. The second example of your dump system sounds like what Ty is recommending in that if the system is capable of delivering 12 gpm at 800 engine rpm then it may have the capacity to pump 20 gpm at 1600 rpm, if the hoses and valves are not a restriction...

Adding multipurpose hydraulics to the deuce

Spicergear, M16ty and all, I have studied this statement and understand what you mean about the different types of valves. Spool valves for motors connect the (A B) power ports to the tank at center position, allowing the motor to push the fluid back. The ram spool valves block the A B ports...

    Transfer PTO adjustments, maintenance

Kenny, sorry no photos are coming, I'm away from the truck at the moment. However your photo is helpful: I did not know there was an instruction plate! I'd like to source a info plate for this modification as I want it to look like it was always there. I knew I was missing the oil line and will...

    Transfer PTO adjustments, maintenance

Anybody know where in the TM's I can find info and diagrams for the transfer case PTO linkage? I have browsed the TM 9-2320-209-20-3 and saw info adjustments on the transmission unit linkages, but nothing on the transfer unit. TM 9-2520-2 covers both PTO units, but leaves out info on linkages...

    15.5 spare on deuce (pics)

I have a question for those of you with bobbed deuces who are modding the spare tire carrier for larger tires: With the extra clearance to the rear after lengthening the wheel base, what prevents you from moving the mount back a few inches to clear the PB drum and tool box? There must be some...

    rear facing T case pto

I'm a vote that you leave it there as you may find a use for it someday. Some ideas I can think of would be a rear facing winch, a hydraulic system, or a water pump. Over the past few months I have seen the rear facing PTO (without linkages) go for about $400 in the classifieds of this forum...

    M35A3 in the Sand

YG, I don't have experience with the A3, but I read that they do not have adjustable central air pressure, they just have 3 position selection, is that correct? If so, are you using the CTIS on your new shoes or are you using that guy named Manual? Rick

left front headlight burning out frequently

I don't see how a bad ground could cause the bulb to burn out. A poor ground reduces current flow. As in a headlight that is dim or hardly on at all. The things that burn out filaments are vibration and excessive current flow. I would look at those things first. Rick
