    It won't work with stock suspension componants, modified , cut, locked in place or whatever. You may be able to incorporate the stock dogbones into your new suspension design, I wouldn't. So what are the trade offs using deuce leaf springs for the rear suspension?

    Dropping the tank is less work than cuttting a hole & fabbing a cover plus it is easier to clean the tank out

    redline on a GM 6.2 is 3600 60 mph is about 2100 rpm in a M1009 and 70 is about 2500 rpm while 55 in a M1008 would be nearly 2900 rpm.

    buy your parts for a W200 w/3500 front axle plastic tank, rust is from steel lines & sending unit, place an inline filter before the fuel pump.

    The distributer is the same. The suppression system has no engine performance difference over the std system. Only radio trucks had the suppression cap & wires the typical M880 series truck had the normal cap & wires. Just off the top of my head, I didn't think the plugs were any different.

    Yes. Keep the other system in tact, be gentle removing it, as a complete suppression setup has resale value.

    So the truck had a blank data plate? The plate shows the vin as an 87 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd yet it doesn't look re-stamped, hand stamped sure. a look at the dash tag is important here.
