It won't work with stock suspension componants, modified , cut, locked in place or whatever. You may be able to incorporate the stock dogbones into your new suspension design, I wouldn't.

The suppression system has no engine performance difference over the std system.
Only radio trucks had the suppression cap & wires
the typical M880 series truck had the normal cap & wires.

The plate shows the vin as an 87 GMC 3/4 ton 2wd
yet it doesn't look re-stamped, hand stamped sure.
