No, you are thinking of the speedometer adapter vs. tachometer drive. All the cable driven M series tachometer drives must rotate the same direction regardless of the engine application since they all utilize the same tachometer.

I will be reusing the existing tachometer. The tachometer drive assembly from the 8.3L Cummins in the 939A2 series truck will install directly onto the 5.9L in the same fashion. I will need a shorter cable though I think.

I think the throaty attributes of the 4" exhaust is what makes it sound so much like the multifuel. It does have a noticeable whistle too.

The cheap one is single circuit, and I've never seen a dual circuit master for as low as $170. Usually that is the high end of single circuit masters. Usually dual circuit masters are $350 and up and difficult to find at all.
