    Goose Creek SC pickup questions.

That sounds like good advice. Once things get to the Arizona level there isn't much flexibility where GL is concerned.

    Goose Creek SC pickup questions.

Wouldn't even think about taking a firearm. One of my last recoveries I set off the Radiation detector on the way out. Had to turn around go back through and then back through again. -- That was fun with a vehicle in tow with a towbar. Thank you

oil line If one prefers a mechanical gauge they could always use 1/8" stainless steel tubing rather that the plastic line most gauges are supplied with. I've used it in the past and it is very tough stuff. Should help avoid the oil bath.

    question on injections pumps.

pump It will work just fine. I don't know if the different numbers are due to the improved components for Jet A or what. I wouldn't put a pump any older than an 86 spec on.

    question on injections pumps.

It was more of a problem for the 85 and older trucks. The IP didn't like it.

Rod The rod from an early to mid 80's 700r4/NP208 truck should work - there is a bit of leeway at the transfercase end. 1tonfun - that's a pretty neat truck in your avatar. Is it a shortbed ?

    Transmission leak

adapter I recently picked up a truck that had a broken adapter it was easy to tell. When I removed to change it it was in two pieces. Does your driveshaft have any dings or bends in it ? If it does I would replace it. I think my first one cracked due to the vibration of a dinged up...

    Are these tranny issues common?

I would remove the Injector pump return check valve and see if there are any air bubbles getting into your fuel system. You shouldn't have any bubbles. There is a condition also where the check valve will clog that usually means the IP is going bad. I hope its just a bad fuel line letting air...

    M1010 A/C Compressor

It is a pretty good truck. I picked it up at Fort Jackson SC last year. The negative on it is it has 4.56:1 gears and a TH400. The other day I picked up a 1991 V-3500 (ex-Navy) I just got it running this afternoon. I took it for a little ride down the road to try it out. That 4L80e is...

    M1010 A/C Compressor

It is an A-6 compressor. I have a 1982 K-10 with a 6.2 and it uses the same compressor. On another note I just replaced the A/C compressor on my 1990 V-3500 (ex Navy truck) (I think it is an HR-6 ?) with 6.2 and it was working great on my way to a recovery yesterday, then I started hearing...
