    hmmwv questions

Blackmagic is right, it won't be a tow monster. Your F250 and F350 would probably be better all the way around. Also don't forget that if you buy one that's being auctioned off on govplanet, they are for offroad use only and no SF97 or titles. Good luck with your search.

    Civil War / Military Show Feb 21 / 22

Well with the crappy weather we have been having, I don't think we are gonna be bringing anything down. But we are gonna try and see if we can at least get away to come check out the show.

If you work beneath your truck, absolutely close the cab doors!

The sharper the edge or the larger the drip is directly related to the odds of you hitting it or it getting in your eye.

    86 M1009 Project

I gotta ask a question, what is FYSA??? I guess I'm not hip enough, but I have not clue what that one is. :shrugs: Then again I don't tweeter, facebook, or any of that stuff, but curious minds do want to know. lol

    86 M1009 Project

I don't think the Nostaligic AC kit will work with a serpentine since it's designed for the factory setup, but you probably need to contact them and see on that one. As for the 24V without 2 alternators, I don't see where that would work. You could put a 24V generator on there, but that...

    Civil War / Military Show Feb 21 / 22

Is there a website for the show or is the flyer the only thing? Also is it all indoor or will it be indoor and outdoor? I'm thinking about coming down if we can get things together. I'd could probably bring the M151A2 down and some display stuff depending on room. Also probably got some...

Any advantage to separate volt gauge for each battery

On the rear battery to read just the 12 volts of that battery and alternator, you have to run the ground to the battery. It will cause a small constant draw, but I've got mine hooked up that way and it has never affected starting. Doghead, if I'm correct, couldn't you hook it up to a solenoid...

Any advantage to separate volt gauge for each battery

I added two volt gauges when I added my trans temp, oil pressure, and coolant temp gauges. I put them in so one on the left monitors the driver side alt and the right the passenger. Since they aren't too expensive it's nice to be able to see each one so you know right away if something is up...

    Is this a CCKW rim.

That was my thought process too. I'd help you try and get them off if Gimpy is too far from you.
