Just read my post on how to rebuild the PCB and lose the TCU. Call me if you don’t want to build it yourself and prefer for me to sell you a unit. Screw the TCU and the integrated circuits that get fried. Pushbutton PCB is the way to go.

I think new springs is preferable to those “rooster” rings. Safer and more robust. Leave those things for the local “pride” parade.

I purchased one recently without the bumper mount and the lock mechanism for $450. My vehicle already has the mount as it has a rhino non-ratcheting tire carrier. I then purchased this same exact locking mechanism, (that’s why I knew about it). Happy I could help.

It soaks in. Over many years’s time it seems to either evaporate or chemically change so I just reapply I usually apply it in several coats. Great for outdoor wood and furniture.

I have had great success painting with several coats of ATF. Lasts for years. And when it starts wearing out. Paint it again!
