I just stopped in to drop the 5 ton off at the house, then go back and pickup the rest of my vehicles from Aaron's place.
For those that didn't go on the little off road excursion,,,,,, wow. It was a fun bit of off road and hill climbs! Actually found a hill that stopped ALL of us!
And only to...
Yeah, I will get to thank you again for getting the trailer for me!
Yes, that is what we loaded Aaron's M715 onto. Be nice to pull it tomorrow. Not a heavy load, but it's something!
Hope it is that simple.
And that is one of the few things that will hold air pressure there, keep the brake lights on, and not engage the truck's service brakes.
Also note, if it IS on, when you push the lever up, you should HEAR the air releasing. If not, there might be other problems there as...
I found the safest way is to get the CDL.
Register the truck as historic, collector, etc.
You are not supposed to haul anything with those plates, BUT, just get a trip permit for those rare occasions that you do.
Now, if you are always hauling stuff, then register it commercial at a weight you...
It is rpm based for tracking engine usage, not real time. Calibrated to a specific rpm, not sure which for these.)
A lot of OTR trucks show it as 'engine mileage' rather then hours.
My suggestion for you, get a REAL hour meter ran by the 24v when the ignition is on (or have a relay setup for...
No offense meant by the simple suggestion, but is the trolly brake off? The lever on the right side behind the steering wheel should be in the 'up' position, which is pointing to about 1 o'clock.
You dig a hole in the ground around here and you have a POND!
Besides, Aaron's place is WAY too nice to have a big hole and pile of dirt around there.
I on the other hand will build one at my next place. Just the ramp part, I don't need a pond...
Sure looks good with the new paint, and way up on that trailer!
Just think, we get to do it all again, but in reverse, after this is all over with!
Of course I won't be in a hurry to unload the trailer.....
Update for me.
Got back late last night after a long couple days of driving.
Went down to CA to get the last deuce. It had bad seals, and I knew the bearings were not that great. I replaced the seals, repacked the bearings and had it all loaded up and ready to go.
Started driving off, the...
Like I said, I have 5 of these suckers!
They work very well for WMO.
Note, once they get almost any oil in them, they are too heavy to move by hand. But empty, they are doable.
Having TWO is a very nice thing! If you have one in your deuce, you can pump/siphon it to the second tank on the...
I like the 101 BECAUSE it isn't as wide as either the 105 or cut down stock deuce.
I built mine for play, not work. And the smaller bed has the better look IMO for MY use.
