i would like to see how the ARB locks. any pics of the internals? the original M621 rockwells, which i have 3 of in my truck, lock one axle to the carrier, rendering the diff gears locked. they also have larger axle shafts. with stock shafts you will be able to twist a shaft off if the traction...
well, admittedly that is not the best price around, but these are name brand and also 11 ball rather than the lesser count found in many, also with shield. i also have the rollers for the front of the MS .125" longer than stock for $28 more.
5th gear on the counter shaft is a removable gear as...
air brake line appears to be something like nylon on inside, reinforced with fibre strands, black outside coating is abrasion resistant and uv proof. seems to last forever. od is all the normal sizes for tubing, handles at least operating pressure of 120, so fuel pressure of 70 is ok. i always...
i have complete NEW transmissions with kit installed, but they cost a bit more. $3300. kit ends up being $1304, new syncros are $150, complete brng sets are $160. you could probably get what you need, brngs, 1 syncro and both 5th gears, gasket set, for $450. just have to tear it down and see...
this is not a common problem given the number of trucks out there. you may be able to repair your trans for twice the cost of a replacement, parts are pretty cheap if most of it is o.
is the timing set exactly right? 10° at the crank is only about .001" at the piston, it means a lot to be exact. could also be an air leak at some fitting alowing fuel to drain back, or dirty filters. sitting for a length of time should not be an issue, i started a multifuel up that had been...
just be sure you understand the function of the red / scribed tooth in the shut off cover window and the timing pointer in the timing cover window. the red tooth must be visable when the timing pointer lines up with the rotating disk of the advancer unit. it does not really matter where the red...
you only need the wrench to take the IP apart. to remove it from the engine, just take out the 3 bolts after you have aligned ALL the correct timing marks.
why are you taking the IP off? it is easier to just replace the HH since that is 99.99% all that fails.
