Yes you will want to go with 4 group 24 batteries. I believe I got group 24F batteries. Everything is the same but the - and + post are swapped. Should not make a difference as long as they are all the same (all 24 or all 24F). I believe Johnson Controls makes Walmart batteries. In my opinion...
I think you would be better off getting group 24 battries. That is what I installed They will fit in lengthwise and with a little work the cables will fit. I got blems from Interstate batteries.
The TM 4579-od/2 is listed here https://www.marcorsyscom.marines.mil/Professional-Staff/Systems-Engineering-and-Acquisition-Logistics/Acquisition-Logistics-Product-Support/Corrosion-Prevention-and-Control/TechnicalManuals/ but to link to download
I have a hard copy of the TB-209 but this is before the LMTV... I find reference to TM-4750/OD1 and TM-4750/OD2 but I can not find any PDF or anything on these manuals. Are these the elusive animal in the TM world?
Does anybody know what the greasy stuff is in the bracing/channels on the body? I have been cutting out the rust and the back side if the metal is greasy. Is this some type of rust proofing? Also will it cause issue with welding?
Sounds like you have an intermittent short... Those are not easy to find. Get the TM and look at the wiring diagram. Does CB77 trip when you hit a bump? Best to use a multi meter and look for a short...
The TM must be wrong for the FMTVs if that's the case. The wiring diagram shows pin H on P110 (foldout 14 of 34 E122) coming from CB40 (foldout 17 of 34 C150) and the wiring diagram shows that as 24 volts. Also show 24 volts from that same CB40 setting pin M high (24V) for the configuration on...
Sorry but I think you are out of place here. Maybe the guy doesn't know anything, but one thing is for sure how many people know what the NSN is for a windshield or let alone any part for that matter? I would say that there are plenty of people parting out cab around this forum. Do they know...
Maybe he doesn't want to deal with Eastern Surplus? I sure don't care for their shipping prices. I wanted to buy some upper sway bar bushings and they wanted to charge me $54.00 shipping on their website. I called the to ask if there was an error with this shipping calculator. The dude on the...
Then the FMTV and 939 series ECU different? It's not how pins Z and M are connected? I would think that if the ECUs or vehicles are wired differently there would be a different connector.
Back to the all lights on error... would configuring Z or M reset the memory?
What are you guys using to seal the turret? The TM calls for some sticky back seal and aircraft fuel tank polysulfide sealant. I would assume the sticky back seal is like weather stripping... but I really son't want to deal with the aircraft fuel tank sealant... Granted the polysulfide sealant...
That's the gasket with the lock strip/bead built in. I am looking for something like this here but I don't know if the below will work. Mine is dry rotted all to heck and may not be able to see what I have. I don't want to disturb it until I find something. I may have to just replace the whole...
