I've been here for like three days now, working on other people's stuff.

    Receiver Hitch for bobbed Deuce.

I don't know what hitch fits the frame. I have no need to pull a civilian trailer with my truck.

    24v LED headlights

A lot of the military Grote lights are garbage. I've not had any of the headlights made by them yet though.

    Need Tire Advice - M109A3

That's true, but some people think a set of G177s should command a price of $2500 or more.

    24v LED headlights

It costs $15 per year for a membership that will allow you to post items for sale in the classifieds. If you don't do that, your posts will be removed, and you could be banned if you continue to attempt to make posts trying to sell them otherwise.

    Good man.

    m35a3 charging system

No problem. Sometimes people can make things more complicated than they really are, I try not to do that. If you have any other questions or issues, just post back up.

    Fried Alternator?

I'll keep an eye out for them for sale when you get it all figured out. I've never had a problem with a factory one yet, but it would be nice to have a better quality spare for when I do have a failure.

    m35a3 charging system

You can if you want. Maybe just a little bit. I wouldn't go over 30 volts though.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Serial number there is 171. So there were more than a couple of them. Maybe you could search the part number on that data plate, since it is legible. Part# 594925, or is that last digit a 6? Looks like a 5.

M109a4 /a3: Reducing rpms, gaining speed / tranny / gearing solution & crowd sourcin

It is. The LDS is 440. I could make up the difference between the two with a short 3/8" ratchet. They are so close it makes no difference.

    Fried Alternator?

In your opinion, how would they hold up to water submersion?

    combat 5 tons

    Nobody that knows them is!

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

It was! No need to loosen belts before fording.

M109a4 /a3: Reducing rpms, gaining speed / tranny / gearing solution & crowd sourcin

3053 will hold up fine. The LDS doesn't hurt them, and it has the same power. That big 5 ton sucker is just too big and heavy, and long. Excuse my mistake on the factory final drive ratio.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

We can't find any info on them. All we know is that a member posted some pics of a -4 that was laying in a scrapyard once and we all drooled over it, but I don't think anyone ever went and got it.

Everything is fine. I run mine adjusted up to 30 volts. Your gauge is bad, or has a bad ground is all that is wrong. The gauge grounds through the gauge cluster plate, and dash. You can run a short ground wire from the mounting clamp on the back of the gauge to the dash and that should fix it...

M109a4 /a3: Reducing rpms, gaining speed / tranny / gearing solution & crowd sourcin

I will add, there is no point in the swap unless you do install the waterloo kit. The stock 5th gear ratio is only .89. Marginally better than direct drive at best.

M109a4 /a3: Reducing rpms, gaining speed / tranny / gearing solution & crowd sourcin

I have a couple of spare transmissions. Let me know what you come up with, and we can make a deal if need be. Of course, I could install the overdrive kit in it before shipping it, or you could buy a brand new transmission with the kit already installed for... $3000 if memory serves. I only have...
