    Need Tire Advice - M109A3

I had a top speed of 63mph with my 11.00s before my overdrive kit. That was on the governor. 58 was comfortable around 2300.

M109a4 /a3: Reducing rpms, gaining speed / tranny / gearing solution & crowd sourcin

The spicer 3053a will mate up to the 3116. It may need the reducer ring from the bell housing on a multifuel, and it may not. Could bolt right up. One way or the other, it will fit. The spicer 3053a, with an aftermarket 5th gear made by Waterloospecialties has a final drive ratio of .69. I have...

    Need Tire Advice - M109A3

You wouldn't have made it out last time if you were running singles, think about that hard before you go and get away from duals. It saved your bacon there. The G177s are great tires. They will last the life of the truck, as far as tire wear goes. Most of the time, tubes from a 10.00r20 are used...

GL has raised Buyer's Premium to 12.5!

Yeah, they are trying to stay afloat, but all the changes they have made are driving away old customers.

M109a4 /a3: Reducing rpms, gaining speed / tranny / gearing solution & crowd sourcin

Much cheaper to start with the spicer five speed from behind a multifuel, and drop in a waterloo overdrive kit. I can run around 70 mph in my truck with that kit and 11.00r20s. I could even push it faster, but I have no desire for a blown engine. The spicer trans can be put behind the 3116...

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Oil pressure is more affected by condition of cam bearings than crank and rod bearings. Try and find a set of new cam bearings.

Are you guys messing with settings again?

Sometime last night my email notifications to thread replys stopped working properly. Now I'm getting notifications, but when I open the email, there is nothing... only the word "null"... not even the link to go to the thread is there. I haven't changed anything or allowed any updates.

Swivel hooks on winches - Not advisable.

A very astute observation. It had never occurred to me. I use a fixed hook though. I learned something anyway, thank you.

    Multifuel Automatic Transmisson?

They used to surplus them years ago, then things changed to be just like HMMWVs used to be here, they all had to be destroyed. So there are a number of them out there in civilian hands, just not as many as we have of ours.

    Armored interior/dome light

Really? All mine just have a single female Packard connector on them.

    Armored interior/dome light

That sounds plausible. It may be green or blue too, but yeah most likely red. Not sure why they went to the three pin connector. The old single wire connection was simple and worked fine.

    Multifuel Automatic Transmisson?

I want one of those Canadian deuces! I like my five speed standard, but the Detroit is neat.

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

So do i. If it was to happen now, I would cough up the cash and go get it. I just had no means to do so at the time.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Glad to hear that. Bryce is a good guy. Too busy for his own good, but he has kids to feed. I've never seen a man work so hard. That engine was an excellent runner. I hope you haven't let it sit without running for too long. Replacing hh o-rings isn't that fun.
