Ft Lewis WA, need 35' flat bed semi trailer moved

Nice, which trailer did you get? There was no EUC on this trailer. Kind of a change from all the other EUCs I had to do so far. One trailer down, now about two or three more to go... Always MORE... :)

Ft Lewis WA, need 35' flat bed semi trailer moved

Thanks for the offer! Hopefully I will get it stored in the Napavine/Onalaska area, but having a place close by in case something happens is always a nice thing to have.

road ranger 10 speed to multifuel?

All the time, use low range, shift from 1st to 5th, then shift the transfer into high range and downshift into 4th gear again. 5th gear low is just a little bit higher then 3rd gear high. But by the time you shift the transfercase and the transmission, it comes out about equal for the 3-4 split.

Ft Lewis WA, need 35' flat bed semi trailer moved

Thanks, PM sent. I was surprised I got this one. Hopefully the trailer will be in as good of condition as it looked like on the site.

Ft Lewis WA, need 35' flat bed semi trailer moved

Well, looks like I won a decent looking 20 ton, 35' flat bed semi trailer from Ft Lewis. Problem is, my truck is 360 miles south of me, and I was hoping someone might be able to pick it up off post and either move it to a location somewhat near, or hold it themselves for a short period of time...

Wait until you get an out of balance tire, you WILL notice it then! ;)

    tach cable adapter

Ok, I rotated my pump, but that wasn't enough to fix it. It might have fixed it if the cable of mine was brand new, but I cannot be sure. I replaced the rubber washer in the end of the tach cable with a washer from a rubber hose. Yup, a regular old washer from a garden hose. You have to MAKE it...

    Hey Bjorn

That the in tank filter/strainer they used for the 757? Odd looking thing.

    Minor 5 Ton Build

The bed NEEDS to be high, the 818 with big tires really needs a bit of room to allow for them to move around. This picture has the front tandem OFF the ground, but I know the rear tandem will will still move more. Just to give you an idea of how much the tires will move. And that is both tires...

    XM818 w/M118A1

Not worried about the height of the trailer, but the clearance between my larger tires and the landing gear. Hmm, short lowboy huh? Not super low, but low enough for most purposes I guess.

    XM818 w/M118A1

What is the clearance the landing gear and tires for the M118 trailer? I am looking at one (long distance off), but not sure it will clear my 818 with the 16.00 tires. It would be at a steep angle, but I wouldn't be worried for how I would use it.

    M818 24volt to 12volt trailer lights

Exactly. It is a very simple and easy setup. Problem is, I can only use this setup on this truck, it's the only one I have 12v on. For now anyways.

    M818 24volt to 12volt trailer lights

That was my plan, just some simple relays for lights, powered from my 12v batteries. But for $100, if you can get something that could be moved from vehicle to vehicle for towing different trailers (for those of us that have a number of MVs and trailers), it wouldn't be a bad investment.

    M818 24volt to 12volt trailer lights

I have 12v on my 818 as well as 24v, so I don't need to worry about the 12v power source. I think I would rather have a simple relay setup, so my only power limits would be the relays themselves. But for everyone else, if you could get one for around $100, that would be a very simple setup!

    tach cable adapter

Hmm, rotating the pump sounds like a worth while effort. The deuce uses a 1:1 angle drive, but the drive that goes into the front of the motor is too large for the 5 ton setup. Almost looks like that part is a somewhat simple part to replace, so maybe a speedo shop could replace just that part...

    M818 24volt to 12volt trailer lights

Yeah, If you were going to use it all the time, having a nice commercial grade type unit would probably be worth spending a decent amount on. 80 amps though, that would do braking as well? I know a lot of the units they make are geared towards stepping down the voltage for brakes. Of course 80...

Where did you find it for around $100?
