2014 MVPA National Convention- Louisville, KY

The convention in Huntsville in 2012 was indoors and it was awesome. We're coming to Louisville for the convention but probably won't be entering a vehicle.

    1975 w200

I am pretty sure every crewcab Dodge ever built was bought by the USAF. They aren't a tactical "M series" vehicle like Al Harvey said. They're simply W200s bought by the Air Force.

    3DAngus

Dell is awesome. He presented me with a very generous gift at the 2013 rally which I am very thankful for.

    Same mods?

Every hobby is like that: Jeeps: Most common mods are lifts, rims, winches. Musclecars: Most common mods are wheels, cams/intakes/carbs, exhaust. Classic cars: Most common mods are a/c, fuel injection, disk brakes. Most people in most hobbies don't stray far from the norm because the norm is...

    1-pin vs. 2-pin slave ports

Yes and thank you. A friend of mine made me a plate that I am using in my '87 perfectly- My OCD is just causing me to stare at it every time I walk past it and I want the "correct" military adapter.

    1-pin vs. 2-pin slave ports

I am currently using the adapter plate a friend of mine made (mucho thanks!) but I'd still like to have the "correct" factory unit. Does anyone have one of these aluminum adapters?

    Offroading at Durhamtown w/ MV's (pics/videos)

The biggest downside of offroading is cleanup-it's worse than the maintenance. The instant I can afford it, I am buying a steam cleaner. We cleaned our M38A1 with a friend's steam cleaner after the 2009 rally and it was fast and amazingly clean-the Jeep didn't look like it had ever left the...

I'd like an excuse to actually drive something versus just working on them.

    Need headlight in Augusta, GA

It was great to see Joe again, I haven't seen him face to face since Aberdeen on 2007. His truck is literally the nicest govt. surplus truck I've even seen. If it were mine, I'd put it in a bubble in a garage and only look at it.

What is the max weight a M923a2 can handle

Front axle max rating is 9,390 I think. Will it do it? Probably. Will your friend get sued into oblivion when there's an accident and the insurance investigators find out he's driving a truck that's overloaded by 10 tons according to the manufacturer? Probably.

    Offroading at Durhamtown w/ MV's (pics/videos)

Yes, but after 2008, D-town went out and flattened out a lot of those bowls to remove the issues we had with heavy vehicles falling into the hole. Imagine how gorgeous and fun the SSGR would be with about 12-18" of snow at D-town.
