Check the solenoid on the fuel cutoff. When you hit the switch it is supposed to retract and allow fuel to the engine. You can zip tie it open (or have Soldier B hold it open) and crank the truck. Once it energizes it should be fine for a while. Usually they de-energize over a period of time...
GL does not allow anyone to pay for the goods except the person on the account. I had an issue with that one time when I bought some stuff for a customer and he wanted to pay for it himself. This may be to thwart someone with a locked account to use a straw buyer account to continue to buy...
He will have to take the SF-97 to the DMV and get a title issued in his name. He can then sign it over to you and also give you a Bill of Sale. You take that title to the DMV and get a title in your name.
I would offer to pay for that since the price he is asking is pretty reasonable if it is a...
Too bad you're not closer. I have HEMMT rims and adaptors to put them on a deuce. There is also a place close to me that sells super singles cheap. I also have some M35A3 rims (the kind you don't have to flip the hubs) with brand new 395's mounted on them, but I only have four mounted tires and...
There seems to be no rhyme or reason as to which trucks got the big filter. I have three M900 A3 series trucks in the yard and only one of them has the big filter. They may have been installed on trucks that were more likely to be used in dusty environments. DAMIFINO.
For 8.5K you should be able to buy a decent M929. I have been watching GL prices on dumps and that seems to be about the median price.
By the time you do the dump conversion you will have 10k in it unless you have all the parts and can do the fab work yourself.
Just MHO for what it's worth...
I'd love to write one into the storyline of a movie......or maybe write a movie about it. If you make a video of it you can upload it at my son's website, http://www.byfytv.com/ He is looking for all types of content. Ultra cool vehicle.
Well I've been working on the newest object of my affliction to whit the M923A2 that is the subject of this thread.
The worst issue is the brake chambers being ripped off the rear axle. I talked to a fellow member that has a M931 he's parting out and I'm going to swap out the axle rather than...

This is a recurring problem with these vehicles. I was in a transportation unit in the active Army that had them and at night in the Motor Pool you could hear "click", "click", "click" all through the MP as the solinoids de-energized. Usually they will self-correct if the vehicle is cranked...
I take the M927 super singles to my tire dude. Even with the bead locks they use a demounting machine and it is off in a couple of minutes.
They always break the bead before they take the nuts off to split the rim.
I've been dreaming of a "rat rod" MV but I want to use the V-8 Detriot and Allison tranny and a deuce cab. Open engine compartment and big tires on the back and small on the front. Wish I had a shop to set up all my equipment.
The main reason to turn the fuel to it is not for more top end it is to get it to pull better on hills. That is were most MV's fall flat on their face. I'm going to do the air filter mod that someone posted a while back (putting smaller diameter filter in it) and (if I keep it) have the fuel...
Helium is much better in the tires and actually offsets some of the weight of the truck if you have the super singles.
You're a funny guy when you been drinking.rofl
I have moved a lot of military equipment in my life and have never had an accident. I once flat towed a deuce with a deuce from Little Rock, AR, back to Alabama.
For this mission we had the correct size towbar, safety chains, tow lights and air lines to the towed truck. I drove a commerical...
