I second the mdmorgan referral-he is excellent.
I don't see anything missing but I'm not a 939 expert.
Batteries: Although a lot of these threads are deuce related, you can learn a lot from the discussion:

If I had a spare one, I'd send it your way.
If you can't find another one, I have one we can pull off a truck if you need it to get the truck operational for the rally.
This is the guy you want to talk to, he's helped us out innumerable times and is 100% reliable:

Be forewarned-he, like every other cool person on the plane, he is in preparation for the world famous Steel Soldiers Ga. Rally and may be...

I'll bet the only reason ARB has sold any air lockers for the M44 Rockwell is the hardcore offroad market. I think sewerzuk is the only deuce owner I can think of that has ponied up the $$$ for lockers. I'd do it in a heartbeat if I had the money but $2500 for the 3 would get me a lot closer...
1. leo4x4-you'll find a lot of good info here. You should attempt to fit in. Every community has a culture of it's own-whether it's online or in person. It's a good idea to look around your community and see what the norm is and try to fit in. What flies in San Francisco probably won't fly...
I think I'd just tell them it's an M35A2.
Only other choice would be to call it an XM381 and then get one of the repro dash tags for the XM381. Then, you have a data tag calling it a single axle truck and a title to match.
All that being said, that's probably a felony in most states.
That's going to be the only way to fly in the near future. You used to be able to buy new shoes for $50. Now? Absolutely ridiculous. I'll reline them before I pay $150 for a pair of 'em.
First, you need to see how much material is left. If there is plenty of material left, then it's simply a matter of tightening it to take up the slack created by the grinding off of the friction material. If the shoes are worn out, you'll need to replace them (duh) and readjust them.
I swear...
