    CUCV 6.2 K5 Trailer wiring?

Lesson learned for sure. I’ll keep shaking my head at my own ignorance on this for quite some time. The good news out of this..........? Now I can install Truck-Lite Series 33 LED marker lights on my M101A2’s. They only come in 12v. Have these installed on a civilian trailer and their nice...

Ah Ok I have read that also. Glad it’s there. Made install super quick and easy.

    Those look very noisy.

Solar Panel Idea for 24v Battery

Whatever works for you. Any battery sitting for that long will lose some charge and will suffer from some degree of sulfation. That’s guaranteed I will not risk my battery’s not being ready when I need them the most. Have Solargizers on everything not close to power. Battery Tenders on...

Solar Panel Idea for 24v Battery

The Solargizer also sends out a pulse that keeps the battery plates free of sulfation. The other setup does not. You do get what you pay for. Go cheap.....Get cheap.

Added an oil pressure gauge and kept warning light

I thought all CUCVs had that oil sample port beside the radiator?

Solar Panel Idea for 24v Battery

Not hard at all. Easy! The one on my hood is a typical CUCV mounting location.

Solar Panel Idea for 24v Battery

Most guys use the Solargizer battery maintainers, including me. Military issue and very dependable. They work great. Available on eBay. I have them on every MV I own. Genset/light tower also. Lots of threads about them

    Accessory Feed Point

That won’t do it. Needs to be at Hwy pressure and on pavement at speed. This heats up the tires and will help even them out. Works wonders

Added an oil pressure gauge and kept warning light

I just tapped into the oil sample port and it works like a charm. No delay and no oil in cab. AutoMeter Setup

New owner m1009 but problems already

Definitely also look at whatever else was added to the factory wiring. Who knows what else you’ll find to fix.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Looks like a new hub behind the wheel with the obviously new lugs. I’ve never used Lucas Hub oil before.

What did you do to your trailer today.

What about calling Memphis Equipment and asking about trading it for/towards a M101A2? A SS member was just there and posted some pics from the visit in another forum section. There were several M101 series in their sale lot. Worth a try

    M101a2... brake...slam...skid...slam...skid

With the spring that’s already in there, would it be too much force and not activate brakes as it should?

What did you do to your trailer today.

Looks like a nice trailer. Fiberglass panels and metal bows is a plus. With that truck, a M101A2/3 will be a much better trailer for you. Especially with the weight. Will look correct too as the M105A2 is big for that truck. I don’t think you will any problems in selling it.

Did you ever get a replacement shock?

    CUCV 6.2 K5 Trailer wiring?

Assumption is the Mother of all *uckups. I always assumed and never physically checked the trailer plug voltage. Military trailer plugs in, gotta be 24v right?!.........wrong!!! Boy do I feel like an idiot. Crow tastes terrible BTW.

    M101a2... brake...slam...skid...slam...skid

Stumbled across it on eBay while looking for a new shock. Was getting ready to order a new shock from Croft and wanted to do one more search. I searched using “surge brake” and there it was. It wasn’t listed as for the M101A2/3. Very happy as this is a $400+ Unit. I got it for less than...
