RE: trailer I have a HF high lift jack. I have to keep tightening a few bolts ( I really need to put on some lock tight) but other than that it is very good for lifting the trailer.

There are extremely large fuel tanks but no place to put an auxiliary. I had a 40 gallon tank in an old blazer I had. I think this is the closest you will get unless you make your own. Space for an extra tank is non existent unless you put it in the passenger compartment.

The depot rebuild should also have a depot rebuild tag affixed on the dash near the data plate with the date and location of the rebuild. The one pictured looks like it has a rebuild tag below the data plate but it is not the one I usually see.

It may effect the shut off as it does need to see power to allow the fuel to flow. That is why you would need to remove it or rig it open. I have not seen how they work internally to know how to do it. They pumps are all non-electric except for the pink wire shut off wire so if you were able to...

Are your glow plugs working at all? If they are do not use ether. Disable the glow plug system before attempting to start with ether.

Both the lift pump and the injection pump are mechanical. I am not sure EMP would hurt them. I have not heard of anyone replacing the electric shut off with a manual one.

It used to say one year but recently I tried to find where it said one year and could not. Can you send a link for where you found one year? I just sent in one for a truck I got back in Sept 06. I have not heard back from them one way or another.

Is that dryer vent tubing?

If it was bolted to the frame of the receiver hitch it would be fine. That is what I did by modifying my bar. Bolting to the Receiver frame was not an option on my hitch. If that is what he did it should be fine.
