Comparing the reviews I've read, the Duratrac is a better snow and wet road tire. Lots of folks in the plow forums use them. I ran 255s dualed on an 86 K30 I owned. There were the BFG mud terrains of the 80s. They worked fine and no rubbing. No spacers were used. I've not used them with a...
These are 235s and they are a little close. Going to have to run 80psi to keep them that way. I originally wanted 255s and was going with the BFG Mud Terrains like I have on my ambulance but the reviews on these was stellar. Since we have snow here in tge mountains, I wanted at least one...
Well, despite the fact that the truck has lost all oil pressure, that didn't stop me from finally getting 4 new Duratracs for the back. Now if only I could get my butt in gear and get the pan off and oil pump replaced, I would be good.
Welcome aboard. You are likely looking at kingpin bushings and springs to correct the death wobble. Tail light issues eh? A good guess would be socket issues. Replacements are cheap and plentiful.
Thanks Rick. My truck is down with no oil pressure right now but it didn't stop my from putting on the 4 new Duratracs on the back. Honestly, I had never seen this tire until you mentioned it. After looking into them, the reviews were incredible. Now that I live where snow is probable each year...
If you plan on doing a fluid change and since the dash has been changed with unknown function, I would add a cheap 3 gauge combo while fluids are down. You really need to know whats going on as much as possible. Figuring out all the stuff you have now will be a crapshoot at best. I always take...
That's just ridiculous. A simple brake job would only require all hydraulic components, new hubs, rotors and drums, new gearsets and master axle rebuild kit, lockout hubs, wheelbearings and new tires with a 2017 build code.
Wow JPG. Hang tough brother, we (I) will pray for a speedy recovery.
Ray, the 350 is an option too. A nice TBI motor sounds appealing. Sadly, I have a 96 burb in S FL that has a Gen V 454 MFI and the 4L80E. That swap appeals to me but instead, I'm selling it in place and likely very cheap. Dang
