Where was the throttle when you took the pictures? The arm isn't touching the stop screw, so if you were maxed out on your cable you might be able to adjust the cable ( unless it's already at the end of the thread ) to get more travel. Straightening out that arm will also give you more travel...
Awesome! The same storm was predicted to hit us last night as well, but we got off easy! Just a few heavy downpours, a little lightening and 5 minutes worth of these crazy up and way, way down brown-outs... Had the 002A's ready to go, but luckily didn't need them.
Looking good... I'd try testing your sprayer with the Behr unthinned. If it doesn't spray good, you can try a small amount of water, but not much. Water does funny things besides reducing the viscosity. It can cause problems if you go too heavy with the water. It can also cause runs and spotting...
If you really want to get fancy, wire it up with a SPDT feeding the 2 relays for high and low beam, then install another SPST or momentary switch connecting (and disconnecting ) the 2 trigger wires going from the SPDT to the relays, that way you can have High, Low and Momentary "Both" if you...
Did you just pull posts A and B off the upper left and lower right batteries? Its hard to tell in the picture, but I think doing that would still leave the lower left and upper right batteries powering the truck.
I think that is also what Gimpy is saying.
If you want to be able to disconnect a...
Glockfan, excellent work! your setup looks great. I don't think you will need any more filtration or water separation, but if you really feel the need to filter the vent on the tank you could try adapting a disposable dessicant filter they sell for paint spray guns. They come with 1/4" NPT M/F...
Once you get the hot start problem fixed, maybe try using the TM and ohm out the CT/CVT and see if you've got a bad winding somewhere.
It's a pretty quick process. At least rule out the CT/CVT because they do occasionally go bad, just not common failure. You might also want to check the S8...
CT-Mike, Depending on your final decision, I'm in RI and have 3 MEP-002A's that are fully tested and running perfectly. I don't really need 3 of them and have been considering selling one, if you have any interest you can PM me for details.
Tim929stro, I was just curious as to where you are at with buying the Pri ocide? The 55gl drum is quite steep at around $3500 but it looks like a few places still list it in a 5gl pail for about $350.
I've heard a lot of members on here talking about using Wesley's Bleach white ( whitewall cleaner ) to degrease with excellent results, but like others here have said, there is no substitute for hot water/steam when it comes to oil and grease.
If you look down the filler with it running, does the fluid slowly start to foam up and eventually overflow, even if you aren't turning the wheel? Also, do you start to feel like your loosing steering pressure before it overflows?
Correct, the adapter is an AN-5 size fitting. I believe you can also use JIC #5 and SAE 5/16" flare tube since AN-5 is an oddball size that is difficult to source.
Plastic poly drums usually have 2 different bung threads. The finer one is a 2" NPT, so any standard PVC or black iron pipe fitting from Home Depot or where ever will fit that one. The other bung is a much coarser thread, I forget what that one is called.
Don't forget to outfit the drum with a...
I used to make my own biodiesel and I filtered the cooking oil with EZ bucket strainers made to fit in the top of 5 and 55gl drums.
They are available in a variety of mesh sizes from 600 down to 55 micron. Think they are about $6 each.
They also had a "Sock" that you could tie around the spout...
Is that the flaring tool Eastwood sells? if so, how do you like it? I've been interested in getting one instead of using my old hand flaring set ( which is pretty much incapable of double flares on 1/4" ) Just need to justify the price for the few occasions that I need to do 1/4" line.
Wow, that seems like a real lot of motor oil, but I guess its working for you with no problem... No issues sooting up the injectors or anything?
Think I saw somewhere that you see differences burning conventional VS synthetic oil (when using 100%) , but diluting with diesel you probably don't...
I've burned several hundred gallons of heating oil mixed with 20% used hydraulic oil in generators, my backhoe and my Lull with no problem.
Most diesels will run on straight hydraulic oil, biodiesel, heated vegetable oil, tranny fluid, all sorts of stuff besides "fuel". Just make sure its clean...
Wow! you can convert an 002A to 12K for $300? Sign me up for 3 conversion kits! :cookoo:
I like the "if you need more voltage" line...
Ever hear the line "Yea, 220, 221 what ever it takes"??
In all seriousness, they are great machines and will put out more power and outlast any big box 7500W...
I was watching them all along... not that I could afford to buy one, but my initial thought was $60K on the sheltered one and $50K on the others.
Seemed pretty odd that they all hit 59K right around the same time, than 1 hit the reserve at 60K and the rest sat at 59 for a while. then one by 1...
