I swapped a NV4500 into my M715 when I put the 396 in 4 years ago. It works, but for the money I could have gotten several 3053A's. Or, a 3053A, a M35 pto, pto shaft and most of a pto winch all for the price of just the NV4500. I also wouldn't have to use 1 gallon of $35.00 per quart oil in...
It has been a year since I put the Gasser together, but I am pretty sure the pedal mounts have nuts on the other side. As with anything, look it over before you drill them out.
Um, my 105a3 has the same basic brakes as the M35. You adjust the bottom off center bolt until the pads have the clearance from the drum the TM calls for. Then you adjust the top bolt with an 11/16" wrench until the tops of the shoes have the proper clearance. I just described what the manual...
Pliobond, non waxed dental floss, 8 needles, 1 pair of gloves and 2 pair of pliers is what I used to sew my top back onto the plastic thing at the front. took about 4 hours and has lasted since October.
Chris,
I got this a few weeks ago. I read it while driving the M35 with it suction mounted to a MWO data plate between the gauges and dash storage area. Works good stuck to the M715 windshield as well.
I will be able to give you a better road trip report after I drive the M35 a few hundred...
Check all of your tires for pressure too. With a gauge. I had a harmonic on my Gasser that would go from nothing to big shack and back to nothing in about a mile while at speed and then repeat every 3-5 miles. One of my inner rear tires was at 5 psi or so. It still thumped like the rest, but...
Take a trip over to Bowie and see Mark at Rapco:
Rapco Parts Company
Call him first about what you are looking for. He has a lot of M715 stuff, but not enough to advertise about if that makes sense.
After that, the usual sources such as AB Linn, Antelope Valley, Snake River, Saturn...
You are correct. At least for the ones not at either the very front or very back. When I pulled my bed off a few months ago. Most of the carriage bolts just spun in place. I "think" there are 12 or 14 fasteners holding the bed to the frame. 8 of mine had to be cut off.
The 101 came with a...
OD Iron list a 1 piece seal on his site. My 8022 manual is out in the truck and the rest of the house is asleep so I can't slip out to get it. If you still need to know, I will look Monday.
The -20 and -30 in the manual section with the (1965) notation cover the OA331. Then there is the TM-8022 which is just about the Gasser. Kind of a combination 10/20/30 all in one book.
ZiggyO here on SS also has a bunch of NOS Gasser stuff.
