Thats impressive.
Not long ago we had a 315/80R22.5 blow the side wall out while the guy was blowing it up. (not a split rim, or lock rim) Thank the lord it was in the cage, and for safety glasses. As it was it still shook him up. Pretty violent.
Great reminder to be careful or let someone else...
I couldn't agree with you more on idiotic laws. I just happened to notice it said that on the registration on one of my other vehicles. I havent had any issues so far, but then I dont do anything stupid with my trucks either.
Yes, I'm pretty sure a loaded 80,000 lb tractor trailer or loaded...
Wow, it did come apart. Hope you find another one and get back together soon. Ive read some of the offers for help, very cool.
As far as 1100's and different overdrive. I'm not to much interested in speed out of mine. Somewhere I saw someone said its the most fun I ever had going slow, and thats...
Maybe I should rephrase..Run under, for the most part!!!
You may not have noticed that alot of OTR trucks and dump trucks weigh 6 times what a duece weighs.
Actually in MD, its illegal to drive a vehicle on any road where the vehicle cannot exceed the posted speed limit by 5 mph. Its right...
Thats the bad thing about having to run these on modern highways. The speeds even when 55mph posted, are usually higher than that really and if you dont keep up you'll get run over.
Where ever possible we use back roads and stay away from traffic. Good luck in getting it fixed.
Mine was the flasher itself, mounted on the fender. Its possible its bad grounds, but if they light but not flash, commonly its the flasher. Same with commercial trucks.
ARyankee- that was an interesting article. If I had constant troubles, I'd look for a commercial flasher. So far only the one bad.
I took them to be in a Govt warehouse, not a private retailer.
I understand about pre-positioning equipment etc {Marines} but still alot of Govt, warehouses full of equipment that have been sitting a long, long time. Glad those have a chance at being used by someone and not just collecting dirt...
I used about a gallon of green on the 5 ton, but only painted the green parts. The rear bed didnt need painting. On the Duece we painted the whole truck green first as it was kind of rusty. Think we used almost 2 gallons on that.
I'd probably order 2 gallons. You will use it I'm sure and a...
This past weekend went to the Wings and Wheels show in Georgetown De. Had a bunch of great planes, and several Jeeps. We parked the 5 ton and duece next to the WW2 re-enactors. They did an awesome job of re-acting WW2 life in a camp, complete with weapons and gear. They even slept there the...
I'm not sure so much sissies, just that most of us don't like to add more headaches to life. Most of the wisdom that was dispensed above comes from guys who work on trucks, including the 6.0 daily. Also you better have access to an IDS and Ford installer support or some other Ford tech site...
