I would think at least one set of chains would be very helpful. Even if just singles on one axle. We don't get much snow here, but I would think it would help huge stopping. At work we have Line buckets and digger derricks that weigh 30+K lbs. They do well in the snow, but if we put chains on...
I am not sure what the CFM is from a deuce compressor, but I dont think its enough to run a media blaster or an air tool for very long. It takes it awhile to pump up its air tanks and they are small. Just my 2 cents worth.
Welcome,
I'm pretty far east of you, about as far as you can go. No M923 here just M813. I like the air brakes, tilt hood and air shift on 923, but like the looks and manual trans of the M813. Just personal preferences as I was lucky enough to drive both in the Marines in the early 80's. I may...
Thanks for the notice.
We use 18V dewalts exclusively. Had a few bad ones over the years, but like yours not to bad. 5 in 12 years doesnt seem to bad.
I know Harbor freight tools have their place, but no comparison to a Dewalt, Millwaukee etc.
I'm sure a parade is not going to hurt anything with a boot thats split. Just grease gets all over the inside of the wheel.
As a thought, when you replace them, definately get silicone boots. On the Duece we put ordinary rubber one piece boots on it, and they have lasted about a year. Have...
Thanks. I saw his website. Im like you, keeping out the hot air in on 4th of July is probably more important than keeping out cold here. Mine doesnt have heat anyway, so whats a little more cold air?
Have searched on here and net and haven't had much luck finding a winter shifter boot for my M813. Does anyone know where I can find one or if the M35 boot will fit? I have one on my M35 and could try it, but if some one else already has tried it, would save me the trouble.
Thanks
Ahhh PRC-77. Well I dont know much about fixing them, but my back knows how much one weighs. That was my job in the Marines, PRC-77 humper! [30 yrs ago].
Thanks for pics.
Glad you got to show it. Ive been to 2 so far and they were great. We enjoyed it and so did the kids.
Although I have to say on the second show we drained the air tanks on the Duece. Unreal how many times that horn will blow before running out of air.
Mine didnt blow apart, they just split in a 100 places. Rotten like, all cracked up. If they blew out it would most likely be in one spot or one tear I'd think.
The rule was probably written so people wouldnt park 18 wheelers, or other large trucks in the developement. But like all rules and laws, they take away a little right at first, then later takes away more.
I also understand some of the rules. The homes there are pretty close to each other. If...
