    M998 Starter installation

I used my high lift jack to take it up to the frame rail. I then rotated and lifted it up from there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

HMMWV starter front support bracket stud

Thanks. The main starter bolts are just fine but I'll look out for Walker's kit.

HMMWV starter front support bracket stud

I'm looking for the part number and specifications for the stud that connects the front of the starter (toward front of vehicle) to the support bracket. It appears to be M10-1.5 pitch with a slotted head on one side and a single nut. I'm asking as the stud in my starter needs to be replaced or...

    Cold weather Starting?

A grill cover is also a good idea for cold temperature running. Easy enough to fab up with cardboard etc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Cold weather Starting?

Make sure your lift pump and cold weather IP advance circuit is operational. Also check your glow plugs. If you want a block warmer they are available for the 6.2/6.5L from Katz and other manufacturers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What have you done to your HMMWV today/lately

HMMWV Intake manifold port matching today before reassembly. Heads are very close on my 998 and did not need any matching. If so that of course would require upper end r&r. Example of amount of excess material/flow restriction prior to cut/blend. Finished work with some throat blending into...

Boredom project, LB7 dirtymax turbo on a 6.2

I need to replace the main seal on my 6.2 998 as well. Looks like you disconnected the starter per the TM but tied it up to avoid the full lift back into position? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Front springs needed, opinions on snow plow springs

Replied above [emoji1369]. I run plow springs on my 998 on road and they are just fine for me in regards to ride quality. Rough roads or off road likely a different story... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    M998 6.2l plugged valley drain

I’ve searched through the old threads and found that the military plugged the valley drain on some engines. That’s the case with my 6.2 L. It looks like there’s a steel dowel or plug in the valley drain I’m curious if this has been hammered/epoxied in or whether it’s NPT threaded and it...
