Finally got the engine reassembled after having the IP rebuilt and addressing a valve cover leak. If runs better with the refreshed injection pump. No leaks and no issues during shakedown run this evening.

Make sure your lift pump and cold weather IP advance circuit is operational. Also check your glow plugs.
If you want a block warmer they are available for the 6.2/6.5L from Katz and other manufacturers.

I need to replace the main seal on my 6.2 998 as well. Looks like you disconnected the starter per the TM but tied it up to avoid the full lift back into position?

I run plow springs on my 998 on road and they are just fine for me in regards to ride quality. Rough roads or off road likely a different story...
