    FU1

Yeah just turn the cap so it locks in place, it'll hold fine. It doesn't get unscrewed by itself, as Ray mentioned...

What did I find in the bottom of my MEP?

No the metal interior spiral is thicker than that material.
  3. Light in the Dark

What did I find in the bottom of my MEP?

I once found an intact GI flashlight tucked into the fuel tank area, with panel reattached like nothing had happened.
  4. Light in the Dark

What did I find in the bottom of my MEP?

Springs too thin to be from a busted FSS... plastic unkown. Just trash.

    Cannon plug comparison

Why not just swap whats on the machine with something more readily available and modern, and source the mate that way?

    MEP-802A questions

I can't be of much help, I let the ground do the dampening for me.

    803A droop adjust screw?

You want them as close to the pushrod tubes as you can make them go... but uniformly across all cylinders.

  9. Light in the Dark

    803A droop adjust screw?

    Rodent Screens

Shouldnt be near anything if you only go a little bigger than the cutout
  14. Light in the Dark

    Rodent Screens

Should be no fuel lines to worry about.. just watch for any draped battery cables. All thats really under there is the foam backing on the raised plate under the engine.. just go with 1/2" long screws and shouldnt be an issue.

    Rodent Screens

Self tapping sheet metal screws and 1/4" hardware cloth cut to the size you want for overlap (8x8 normally does it) https://www.homedepot.com/p/Everbilt-1-4-in-Mesh-x-2-ft-x-5-ft-23-Gauge-Galvanized-Steel-Hardware-Cloth-308231EB/205960850

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

Yeah it should be in that thread I just linked to. Never hurts to have it in more threads though.

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

  19. Light in the Dark

MEP 802a Injection Pump no output

I've always been able to soak them whole in a coffee can (with lid) submerged in https://www.napaonline.com/en/p/NCB0996 . If whole doesn't work, yeah just disassemble as others have said.

    MEP-802A questions

The T bar is the handle, just tighten it all the way up (standard RH threads) and you should have no leaks when you fill the radiator.
