    Valence's 1960 Pioneer Tool Trailer

You should post pictures here because I've never heard of a Michelin XZLs in 9.00 x 16!

You're a horrible human being.

    Air Dryer for an M35A2

You're welcome! Did you see the schematic and other pictures/description I posted back on post #88? What I did was interrupt the supply line to the air tanks (from the air compressor) and route over to and through the air dryer and then back to the air tank's inlet. And then in post #90 for...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Not exactly difficult or new here, but I put a bumper step on the driver's side of my bumper. It was a take off from a deuce being parted out (same with the shackles that are now my lower ones). All of these were from a big "project" lot of stuff I blasted and had powder coated. I'm not sure I...

Went to the Overland Expo today !

Forget water crossings (which, obviously would be a problem), but even with a fender wall, what a quick way to fill the air filter with DIRT kicked up from the front tire! Seeing such major and obvious problems like that makes me not even interested in any of a person/company's work. If they...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Last weekend I added rear side marker lights to my truck to improve its night time visibility to others. I purchased the brackets from TNJ Murrays (they came painted in 383 Green CARC, of course I had to paint one brown and the other black). It looks like Erik's now carries the same marker light...

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

This information is hard to find, and since (at the time of this writing) I am looking for a barrel clamp assembly to put on the passenger front gun ring leg, I thought it should be documented where it won't be lost (when my want ad is deleted): In these pictures: NSN: 1005-00-560-6435 P/N...

    Post your rocker panel art.

My brother took the pictures of this Unimog in New Mexico I think it was. Very subtle, but fitting for the area. He said the owner was inside the grocery store buying a lot of groceries. I can only assume he doesn't come into town often or was traveling the world (judging by the license plate)...

    Post your rocker panel art.

I agree! One of the best I've ever seen. Simple, but crisp, thin lines and I really liked the style.

    Post your rocker panel art.

Not my truck, and not an HMMWV (5 ton, M923), but these were taken in June of 2015 at the Sounds of Freedom car show in Layton, UT.

M35A2 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TECHNICAL CHALLENGE

I have heard some folks talk about adding pinion brakes for emergencies. Of course they'd be 1-time use as they would require a rebuild/replacement after use since they would be spinning 6.5 times faster than the wheels (that's a lot of heat from friction).

M35A2 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TECHNICAL CHALLENGE

That's a good idea! Is this equipment you owned or did you have to find a shop that had one? (I assume for looking at pistons and inside the engine)

M35A2 BRAKE MASTER CYLINDER TECHNICAL CHALLENGE

Of course doghead and m715mike are right. This is where the hilarious, but albeit serious subject, saying comes from when how to stop a run away deuce (or even about general maintenance) "Go to Subway. They know what to do."...

Thanks!. It's high temp BBQ paint, from a spray can :P

    M105 axle spindle size

Replacement lock washer arrived. Matching numbers and identical. Notice in the second picture that my original one is sitting directly on top of one of the replacements. Light surface rust like the seller promised. I should be able to clean it up easily and quick with a wire wheel.

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

Not the greatest photo with the shadows cast on the truck, but the truck makes up for it. ;)

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

I like the bag idea! I have some of those rare earth magnets but honestly, they're so powerful they scare me a bit as they're always trying to hurt me (squish, pinch, tear from their tremendous force). I mostly just use the telescoping pickup tools as pictured and a pair of gloves to pull off...

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

As in my old/current one? That is certainly a possibility as I only own 1 gun ring and would sell mine, but not until I've received the replacement, it is in good order and that I no longer need anything from this one. (Note: old pictures from last year before the plate was restored) My old...

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

Yessir, just a battery powered hand-held 1/2" drill. Of course after measuring, marking, and center punching, I drill it in 3 stages. First a 1/4" pilot hole, then I drill out to 3/8" (I actually use the 3/8" drill bit to wallow out the hole a bit to give me room for error/adjustment), then I...

    Valence's M66 Gun Ring

I believe I'm done with the gun ring. Well, except for one item: the backrest. The one I have actually isn't in that bad of condition (since the rusty internal metal plate has been blasted and powder coated), but the cover has holes and a lot of staining. I could just order a whole new backrest...
