M923 & M925 questions
Thanks fellas!
I forgot, also wanted to verify the Marine trucks used Detroit lockers in just the rears. No selectable or front lockers?
Some interesting ISO bed info in this old thread, but another terrible title for search purposes.
So my question is if most all ISO beds are on USMC trucks, and most all lockers where in USMC trucks, anyone care to make a guess at the chances any truck with an ISO bed will also have lockers in it?
While loading all my junk the last several days, I’ve determined I/we need a fully stocked SEORTM trailer to drag to Haspin every year! It’s starting to look like the Clampits meet the Sanfords in my garage.
Sounds fun!
Better do it, theres a 12v149 Detroit on CL that I bet 74m has been eyeballing...
You should be able to scab a couple of hoods together, build you own pan, and use some winch frame extensions to make it fit. Will the Cat hold up to the KTA, or are you looking at something different...
I still need to pull it out of it’s pocket and check it out. I think it put a few degrees in the inside tube at the pivot point. If it did I can just grind a small tack weld out, spin it 180, and wait for the next overload to straighten it out.
Likely copper nickel? My buddy just turned me on to it a couple years ago. Magical stuff, flare’s super easy and almost impossible to kink, even bending by hand, and he also claims it to be nearly corrosion proof. I still have quite the length of it as well as an assortment of fittings if you...
Thanks for the pictures, and the good showing! Spyderman is that 1/4 AR plate bolted to your doors? Also what is that trailer, looks like a M200 with a short truck bed on it, maybe? Lastly, looks like you have a ctis counter weight on you front wheel, not sure if you really want that? Thanks...
I don’t think the truck will care about 25k on it. I routinely leave 12-13ton on mine, days on end, no ill effects that I know of so far. I think the sides will handle it up to the level of the top of the tailgate, after that the sides will likely need support.
DO NOT TRAVEL WITH PASSENGERS IN...
I just bought several rolls of belting (5/16x21x101”) from SS member gotaluvit at Findlay for a very reasonable price. I’m not sure if he would or be practical to ship them though?
I’m guessing you linkage, or pedal stop is not adjusted correctly. I think the inability to start with a load, off road, going forward in an a2 is normal, but I have never been even close to not able to move in reverse, high range. Sometimes you have to hold tho throttle wide open for 3-5...
