    Auto to Manual trans.

Lots would be involved, but not impossible. You would need the transmission, clutch, flywheel, bell housing, throw out bearing, clutch linkage, peddle, and all that goes with it. The shift lever. You would need to see what is needed to adapt the manual trans to the 203 transfer case (sorry I...

Need some help on identifying some marks on M886

The BNX? is to vague to know for sure what that marking is. Usually vehicles would be marked with higher headquarters followed by operation headquarter and then the unit marking (example: 82AB 44M HHC which means 82nd Airborn 44th Medical Brigade Headquarters Headquarters Company.) BN is...

    M151 gas evaporating from carb

On the m151 the fuel line come in straight to the carb and is on the same plane as the exhaust manifold. The Army did an MWO wher they put a 45 degree elbow at the carb inlet so that the fuel filter which was right there would be kicked up and out of the plane of the manifold thus in theory...

    G506 Class 525 (G7133) restore

Someone should have said "put the stick down and walk away from the welder!" Wow I'm not the best welder in the world and I can do better than that. Well time for the grinder....

    1942 cckw project thread

I have always liked the G506. I think that is a solid plan. You need to get rid of the M102 trailer body for the bed and find a correct bed or make a correct looking bed, but otherwise it looks like it will clean up nice for you. Keep us posted.

    WTB M151a2 Fuel Pump

I agree Murrays or RAPCO would be your best bet.

Replacement steering wheel - Humvee maybe?

The splines for the HMMWV Steering wheel is different than the M37s spline shaft. If it was a M715 or a M151A2 then you could swap them. But it doesn't fit on the M37. I suppose one could do the modifications necessary to make it fit if they wanted to.

What is supposed to go there?

The army had a modification kit that would replace the generator and voltage regulator with the 60 amp Alternator. My 151A1 had this modification and the voltage regulator was removed from that location.

    MUTT Body Needed

Kevin, how bad is your Mutt damaged? Could you get body replacement panels and repair the one you have? Not to many bodies out there anymore that wouldn't need just as much or more repair than the one you have I would think. Good to see you on here. I'm an old friend. LTC Joe Kaiser (OHMR Ret.)

    blackout lighting?

The BO drive light is about useless. It cast a dim light about a foot in front of the vehicle and where most of them are mounted half the light shines on the fender or bumper of the truck. Forget seeing anything with that. I would just keep my eyes on the red dots floating a head of me.

Anyone know of a Complete or non cut M-151A2 just sitting ?

If you find one let me know...LOL

    M151 vs M151A1

Technically (and I say technically because I'm not sure if this change happen in 151 production or as part of the A1 production) the rims where changed from the magnesium rims with the slots to the steel wheels with the holes. Also A1s got the two position seats where the straight 151 had the...

Kinda got carried away..... M1028 rebuild

I thought all the GEP engines had the redesings in them? that was one reason that GEP went into business was to make 6.5L diesels for HMMWV and that all of the blocks made by them had upgrades over the GM blocks. Yes no?

    M37 engine swap

That Chrysler Ecodiesel is a great motor. Yes you could put it into the M37 provided you have enough time and money. Cause you will have to make engine mounts, You would have to think about changing the transmission and as mentioned above you would have to figure out all the electronics...

    Carburetor inlet fitting leak

If it was my vehicle I would put Teflon tape and tighten it a little bit more. If I remember correctly it is a pipe thread and if you have 3 threads showing it may still be a little loose. That's just me though.

    V8 swap 5.2L

First off I have to ask...is it hard to drive that truck from the front fender...lol! :ROFLMAO: Okay for your question...I don't know. I guess the first place thing to look at is if the Magnum V8 mounts the same way as the old 318s did and if it's bolt pattern for the bell housing is the same...

Will scout II springs fit on an M37

You say they are the same width but are they the same length? Also I think that people who want to raise the front of the truck have just taken their spring packs and added a leaf in or had them rebuilt by a spring company and they added the additions leafs in. I'm would guess that if the...
