    Correct trailer for a M1009

I don't want to fly in the face of everyone here, but the army put a directive out stating that the M416 1/4 ton trailer was not to be used with the CUCV Serries vehicles. The reason is that a driver can not see the trailer behind the vehicle when towing. Backing up the 1/4 trailer is near...

    M1031 to M37 drivetrain

Yeah I just reread it and realized I had mistyped. M37s are PASSENGER side drop.

    Need help with speaker selection...

I would say that if your hooking up an Mp3 player and an amp you would want some version of stereo so I would get the 2 3.5 speakers and leave the middle clear. This would give you left and right balance. You might consider some speakers in the back since you have the "blazer" truck. This way...

Value of an M211 semi with 5th wheel ?

If it runs and stops and is complete and has little to no rust and everything is in ok working condition thus making restoration easy then I would say $2-3K. If it has problems the the price goes down from there. As stated, always go for the lowest price and work your way up from there... :)...

    M 211 Brakes

I said that phrase stop on dime and give 9 cents change..I was taking into acount NDT and wet pavement... I've owend both an M211 and a M35A2 and I would much rather have the stopping power of the M211 than the M35 any day of the week. It's a lot of work to do the complete system, but...

    MadDawg's M37 gun truck project

Are you just going to bolt it in or were you going to weld it also. I think original trucks were all welded together because, A: the army had torches and arc welders and B: Someone in the unit was a welder by trade before they got in the army. Just wondering how you planned on putting it all...

    Gasser parting out

Get the whole truck! Unless it's rotted through and through it shouldn't be parted.

    .

Yes M211. Top looks like a M35 hard top deff not M211 hard top. Looks like it says it drives so. Does it have rust? Is it complete? Does it run and stop properly? Does the transmission shift correctly? Does it have the dreaded exhust manifold leak? If you answer yes to all but the first...

    MKT's in Ohio

A little off topic, but I had an MKT once that was well stripped out exept it did have one set of steel cabinets and the Iron Griddle. So I put some cheep wood kitchen cabinets in per the book with counter top and modified a couple of old filed stoves to run on propane and even put a couple of...

Im considering this, but if i do, will i be ridiculed and ostracized from rallys :^)

Just tell anyone who asks that it's a MWO and walk away letting them scratch their head... Just do it.....then we can look at you at ralleys and snicker behind your back.... Just kidding. No worries it's all good!

    MadDawg's M37 gun truck project

:jumpin::not worthy::drool::grd::lol: That's how I feel.... Keep up the good work. My truck is still in frame only condition not having time or money to get it done...so I'm also uber jelous.... Oh yeah

    MadDawg's M37 gun truck project

I agree might as well do it up with all the toys. I notied in the one pic of the original truck you can tell it had some weight in the back with the armor and probably sandbags and ammo...lots of ammo..... the rear is sagging just a tad. Do you have a large supply of ammo cans? Most gun trucks...

    Rescued M880s

Good looking truck....I've seen worse. Get some paint on it and the electrical like new brake lights and you should be good. Have fun with your ride. I beleive the bows, vinyl cover and troop seats out of a M1008 CUCV will work in the Dodge. Or close enough anyway. Also if putting the...

    Unsure of restoration

It's your truck you can paint it bright pink with flower on it if you want....because no matter what you do, even if you researched and spent thousands on it to restore it to factory rolled off the assembly line condition some nimrod would criticize what you did. So if you want to make the...

    MadDawg's M37 gun truck project

I think the hardest part will be the lettering on the plate. That is going to be a challange to recreate. The guns are not a problem if your just going with dummies. If you go with propane firing then the cost goes up as I'm sure you know. Real bang bangs...more money than I have...lol! I...

    need a tool

Try taking the uper hose off and go into napa and tell them you need one just like it or as close as possible to it. You may get one that a little longer and may need trim, but that's what I've done in the past. The Aircleaner hose is a little more difficult. Do you have a truck parts store...
