    75 mph in a Deuce

No, not really. Make sure you use good speakers or you'll never hear it over idle. I still have to get the amps and the sub hooked up, and mount the rear speakers and wire all four speakers to the four channel.

    75 mph in a Deuce

It is, and I just installed a stereo today after years of no music...

    Tulsa winch?

Right, the 8274 is rated at 8k pounds from memory, maybe 9k, but certainly not more. They do pull better than comparable lay down style winches though.

    75 mph in a Deuce

Here's a pic, looks like any other deuce in decent shape.

    Tulsa winch?

Never thought I'd see an 8274 on a deuce... That's a new one. I suppose it'll pull with enough snatch blocks.

Deuce Now Starts and stalls starts and stalls

I thought he had a no start/ run condition before he pulled it. It's been a while.

Sending my Deuce to Organizational Maintenance Unit (a.k.a. Jeepsinker)

At least you know the new motor won't leak your brand new oil out... for a while anyway..

    Tulsa winch?

Looks like a good strong winch. Only issue I could see is the worm gear housing may be a bit hard to fit in the space where it needs to go.

It should be home before then.

    Tulsa winch?

I would definitely go with a Tulsa over the Garwood if it is properly sized, mounts easily, and doesn't look stupid on the front of the truck. We all know the Tulsa is a better winch.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

Alright good to know. Just don't want to ventilate a brand new block.

Mike, you'll want to get some break in oil for the new engine.

Piston Rings Worn Out, Time for a Rebuild

So, would it be alright to idle it long enough to get the engine to at least 120 degrees before loading it for break in? I just don't feel right about putting a load on a cold multifuel.
  14. Jeepsinker

    is this the fuel line?

Since you have a habit of running over trees, I would suggest you run it behind that crossmember instead of under it.

I'll let Mike update you guys with what is going to take place here. We spoke earlier.

    Tulsa winch?

You have a picture of the winch?

Sending my Deuce to Organizational Maintenance Unit (a.k.a. Jeepsinker)

No, there is no fluid cross contamination. It is just blowing compression out of the back. It probably was making a knocking sound when it first blew and still had some gasket material in there, but once it blew it out it quieted down. It had a barely audible tick, but the way I found it was...

Found the problem! See that oil spot on the firewall? Blown headgasket on #6...

Sending my Deuce to Organizational Maintenance Unit (a.k.a. Jeepsinker)

Well, I just completed a 50 mile round trip to town and back @2400-2600 rpm, and still no knock present... I'm starting to wonder if you didn't just have some bad fuel or some water getting to the injectors. I can keep driving it, but it should have started knocking by now if it was going to...
