Too bad I'm not closer. I have 3 new rolls of 5/8"X200' cable, 250+' of 5/16". Needless to say cable isn't currently a problem for me, but shipping is costly. Good luck on the recovery.
I installed mine today and found that I couldn't hear it with the cover on. So my simple solution was to drill several small holes in the green lens to act like a speaker cover and now I can hear it fine. Keep up the great ideas Guys.
I think 4mpg is hopeful. My friend is getting more like 2 empty and that is keeping it down to 40 mph. Full load is like 1.7 gallons per mile. I would like one but have figured it's more cost effective to borrow my friends. LOL
I did all this footwork, check this post. http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?113975-Everything-you-need-to-know-about-rubber-rope&highlight=super+rope
Check the lower left lever on the Light control to make sure it is not if "Park only" position. That allows all running/park lights on with no headlamps on.
If it has been mixed just empty the system and flush with DOT3 then thoroughly bleed the system with DOT3 and stay with it. Would cost less than do it all with DOT5. JMO
I'm not an expert but white smoke generally indicates lean(not enough fuel) and this is likely why it won't start/run. Check the fuel filters for restrictions and ALL fuel lines for leaks(sucking air) and the fuel tank switching valves are prone to leaking air. If all looks good see if you can...
So who managed to get the HEMTTs out of Fort Benning? They were pretty nice 2006 rigs with PLS self loader backs. I would love to have one but came up seriously short on the bidding.
IMO if you are going to be hauling heavy loads you should stay with the 11.00X20 dual. A rear tire failure will have minimal affect on your driving wherethe super single is going to cause a big 500lbs problem. JMO
My units are MEP-16a's that have been converted to the Yanmar diesel. I need the voltage selector switch that is on the far left above the voltage rheostat. Any one have one or know where to get one?
