pitman arm puller made by snap-on or otc, looks like this. comes in several sizes, the correct size fits well and will pull the arm right off easily. this is the style i have always used. tom

you don't need a tester, just crank it over with the fuel off. if there is a low cyl you will hear it in the cranking speed. sounds like you have a hole in a piston.

what ever you do, do not ever use rtv. it has no place on most engines unless it is intended to BE the gasket. only a lazy person, someone who is not a mechanic would ever use that stuff. 2 clean surfaces with a new dry gasket and just a film of permatex 3H will not leak. tom

good question! if it does it wouldn't be by much and i think it could easily be solved. it would probably not be thecolumn mounting as much as the lower shaft going to the outside of the frame. tom

there is a manual double 3 way valve available from a company in NC i think. reasonable price. i will try to find my notes on that, my m-35a8 had 2 tanks. you need to switch both the supply and the return. tom
