The CARC is not bothering anybody. They are lying to you. What it is, is they figured out how hard CARC actually is to sand, because it is a pretty tough paint. They just don't want to take the time to do it right.
Just go after a spot with a sander and a 36 grit pad and you'll see what I mean.
I have an IPhone 4, it won't let me do any of that, or I can't figure out how to do it.
Got it out using both the front and rear winches to pull it out and spin it all the way around, at which point it was still stuck. After that we got it out by jerking on it with the deuce and using the front...
Ok, I hope this isn't insensitive, but I honestly don't know. What happened to Bfr? Did he kick the bucket, or is he still around and just decided to sell the truck?
Id really like to have either this truck or an M108 someday.
I got mine stuck on a pipeline after using it to rescue a family friend's son's 4x4. Got his truck out at 3:23 pm, got my wrecker stuck on the way out, was out until 4:37 am getting it out. Broke one front shackle mount, three straps, two chains, driver windshield in the wrecker, the front winch...
Well, the 18mm plug fits nicely, but the 20mm plug is most certainly NOT the right plug. It works, but fits so loose that it could easily pull threads out of the manifold. It worries me.
Remember, high heat is a factor in starting and charging as well. You won't find a reasonably priced lift pump that is 12v and works for these trucks either, and you do need the lift pump if you don't want to burn up the hydraulic head.
And can you remove the filter from the housing without un bolting the box and sliding it over? I've been planning on doing this to mine, just without the ugly chrome.
Look around your turbo where the flange bolts to the exhaust manifold. If you see any evidence of exhaust leaks, there is your problem. You need to tighten the bolts or replace the gasket I bet. I have this problem right now, blown turbo flange gasket. It won't hardly move from a stop, but once...
I never have pulled a fender either, but I don't know the guy's age or physical condition. It is way easier without the fender there though. Was great on my engine I have in a frame section.
If you wire that truck to be 12v, I'll drive all the way out there, slap the $hit out of you, and then drive back home. Do it right. These trucks were designed to be 24v for a reason.
