sell it, the 109, both trailers, and get a 925A2 with working ctis. Faster and quieter. Use the remains to make it really nice (A/C, dump, radio, cargo cover, etc...). 8.3L gets 10mpg w/no blow-by, and has the air brakes you adore.
Bummer. Probably scored the liners feom piston expansion and maybe wiped out the bearings (coolant eats them). Great time to pick up a used 400hp turbo 855. They can be had for the cost of a rebuild kit for what you have now. Change in a day an enjoy the new power. I'd be envious.
Got it. We had it fixed and were all back to hugs and kisses before mom and dad showed up.
Funny that PG ratings of today have no correlation to PG ratings of yesterday (isn't that frustrating?). When you go to court, the judge usually has some level of mercy for those that are contribitors...
I fully recognize that, and appreciate it. It needed to be toned down anyway, we don't want new guys thinking they are about to get thrown in the ring and that is what this board stands for, because it isn't. Nobody had negative intentions.
It is good you tried both. If you think singles were better, and later generation cargo trucks all went to single wheels, will you next remove your rear inner or outer wheels and try again? should do even better from your findings.....
BTW, 11.00 singles make that truck look sweetchuck ...
He's OK, be nice to him, he works hard 6 days a week providing for his family. I modified my post and will be nicer in the public arena. We do it just out of entertainment. I know who my wife sleeps next to each night, no worries there. I went to school in Detroit, nobody is not able to hurt...
I buy you dinner and this? (*takes outer shirt off leaving wife-beater on*) The only time your truck was in front was when we pulled out of the driveway because you were in front of me. Your Cummins 250 couldn't pull a string out of a cat's a$$, even with the Rain Bird intake manifold. Only...
I have not checked the airflow diagram, but I'd guess the pressure regulation is a simplistic small orifice at the valve. Bottle has over-protection via a porous disc.
I'm not out to belittle anybody, ever. I saw a lot of that happening here when I first joined, and it is not good, all the way around, for the site reputation or the persons themselves. It is nice to see that relaxed by about 90% or more now.
It is an effort thing. Simply try first, then...
The connections on the stock alternator uses 1800's technology. It is simply the wires stripped back then wrapped around a tapered post, and the cover pushes them further into this position in an attempt to hold them there. In the decades of doing alternators for OEM's, I have never seen this...
OK. Let me try the bus termination resistors, I'll check and post my CTIS controller label, and then try the xMTV controller being offered (will quickly return it regardless of result), in about that order.
