several people have asked about my power steering so here is the basic info. you need to be capable of fabricating the bits needed to install it.

did you shut off engine? if not trans probably still turning

if the truck has been driven fast, second gear could have seized to the trans main shaft. once that happens it's all down hill from there and will only get worse. it's a simple matter to pull the trans top cover and see if second gear has turned blue from...
i have about given up on the gear shop that said they could make the .71 od gears, but have found a shop very near to me in baltimore who said no problem to every question i gave them. i have an appointment with them tomorrow to discuss makeing some sets. on a note closer to this thread, bob...
yep, lots of errors out there. .79 is the only 5th i have been able to verify. jp mag also says it is fully synchronized, which any fool knows is wrong.............
that is the problem with enamel. i use utech 200, it is an automotive finish with a lot of flatener added to kill the gloss. adding hardener also adds gloss...
this can be a dangerous procecure so use caution and avoid any ignition source. slide the batteries out and remove all caps. then try cranking for a few seconds. next look into cells and see if one is bubbling a lot. this is a sure sign of a bad cell and does not require any test equipment.
there was a multifuel heater that was only 20,000 btu. i think it was used as part of some artic kit. i need to locate the adaptor that goes from 5 1/2" to 4" if one exisits or else i am going to have to make one. anyone have one that has a part number on it??

how does this get you any more air pressure?? as to the comp belt, the compressor uses less than 1.5 hp so you are splitting straws now, you may have reduced the hp draw by .01 . bottom line is if you are going to use a lot of air, fit a larger compressor or put bigger...
a little bit of slime on the coolant that has been sitting?? don't worry about it, it is probably nothing. if it had any real oil in the coolant you would have no doubt as it would be a real mess.
