    Or look in the CUCV Helpful Threads sticky for fusible links. All of them are listed. And a word of advice given to me many years ago: Never start any electrical troubleshooting unless you know for sure that the batteries are fully charged and load tested.

    You are not suppose to have power at the terminal going to the glow plugs. you more than likely have the wrong type of relay. You can only tell for sure by testing it. The small terminal should not be using the mounting bracket as a ground if so your glow plugs will be on all the time and burn...

    mkcoen has one of my spare towbars. He is in between San Antonio and Austin area. Near Canyon Lake. If you want to drive that far you are welcome to use it.

    That diagram is not 100% accurate. Please read the updated fusebox layout in the CUCV Helpful Threads sticky. Your melted fuse is the Headlight fuse which is also discussed in the CUCV Helpful Threads sticky

    Yes. Also be prepared for a fusible link to get toasted when the battery cables where disconnected. There is a thread in CUCV Helpful Threads sticky that explains why this happens. You may want to read it anyway and see some others that have had similar issues. Read Keith_J's post in that thread.

    Before starting any trouble shooting make sure the batteries are fully charged and load tested. The ice and snow lately have been killers on batteries. You can disconnect the relay and then reconnect the batteries. If the solenoid is stuck it will try to start. Pulling the starter isn't hard...
