That was along my line of thinking as well. Not so much worried about a mist as vapor though. How bad does kerosene vaporize when heated though? This may just be a series of stupid questions, but better to ask and get scolded than to burn my house and property down just giving it a shot.
Yeah, but is that a real danger with kerosene? I mean obviously it would be with gasoline, but that isn't the case here. I don't know but I don't want to chance it unless I'm sure it is safe or somewhat safe to do.
Maybe a pipe burner from my parkerizing kit. I just really don't like the idea of flame around my fuel tanks. And I also would have to be careful not to melt the aluminum. Then I worry about what is going to evaporate more first, the fuel or the water? I don't want a cloud of kerosene vapor from...
It seems to be getting clearer as it gets colder. That tells me that it is precipitating some water out of emulsion, but I haven't gotten any free water yet.
Are you sure you put the correct axle shaft back in the proper side? The front axle shafts are two different lengths. Otherwise either the shaft isn't fully seated in the diff because of a foreign object, or your seal retainer is indeed not fully seated.
I do the same thing. My problem is that my SOURCE fuel has a high water content. I've never had a water problem in the truck fuel tank other than that.
I've already treated it with biocide. I know it kills fuel systems to run water through them. The napa filter seems to be working but I'm not sure. I converted it to a spin on 10 micron waterblock a while back. That's the primary. The secondaries are still the factory types.
It isn't a problem with the trucks fuel tank per se, but two of my storage tanks have the issue with emulsified water, and as you can imagine that fuel ends up in my truck. The on board fuel filters seem to be doing a pretty good job of cleaning the fuel so far but at the cost of filter life.
