I saw those sitting on the floor when I was at Sermis' last week. I should have asked about them then. A week too late.
I also need a set. I agree that unless you have cargo pushing the sides out, the tail gate will keep them together. However, how many of you have perfectly straight drop...
Tires, rims and lug nuts the same. Including the left hand threads on the drivers side. The bearing nut inside the hubs is bigger than the M35 nuts however.
ODIron has the wheel cylinders. Simple hand tools will get it swapped out. You will need a 1-1/2" socket to remove the rim however. If the entire brake system is dry, figure on 1 quart of brake fluid to get it bled and topped off. Might want to contact the seller and see if it had DOT 3 or...
My experience with trying to use gravity to flow already filtered to 10 micron WMO/gas mix was that 1 gallon per minute through a 3/4" garden hose is a very optomistic goal. Adding a filter will stop movement and make a huge mess. Get a pump and filter set up, keep everything at ground level...
I think that is the first top I have ever seen without the "dent" in the middle. I want to hear you explain the foot prints on the ceiling to Shelley. "Honest, I used my feet to pick up the top and place it on the cab rail!"
RE: Re: RE: Winch donor
Joe, it wasn't even to my house yet in the picture that is my avatar. Besides, it lets me figure out which one in the yard is which.
Chris, I will have to get back to you on the winch and the transport. When are you leaving?
I have a few parts. I assume this is for your Gasser. Mine are all used or at least look used.
PM ZiggyO since he has new in box NOS Gasser parts of all descriptions.
You need to have the head lights on and then turn the dash light control switch down to "park". The headlights will go out and the top bulb in the fender mounted lights will come on to match the running lights already on at the rear of the truck.
Having met several of you Ohio guys, I would say yes it is for the short bus.
Chris, you really have spare winch stuff? I have a friend who is a new M35 owner and he will be drooling for one soon is why I ask.
Welcome aboard. PM a fellow member named Sermis. He has at least one M35A2 to sell in Temple. It just drove 300 mile from OKC a week or so ago. So I know it runs great.
No, it was that Gubni guy I think. He just posted about a trailer full of open knuckle 60 axles a week or so ago.
M376x6, you bought some tires out of Florida already didn't you?
You could always go find the stock under truck exhaust for the M35. Here is a rear shot of my Gasser with it. Not fully up to civvy truck window level, but close.
It is the OD transmission with the normal 1000 rpm drop between gears 1-4 and a 500 rpm drop going into 5th. 3rd and 4th are next to each other.
9.00-20 tires all around. 45 mph according to the math should be 2100 rpm. I can compensate in my mind while driving. I just don't like the idea...
2,300 rpm is 45 mph on my M35A2. That is what the gauges indicate at least. The speed is correct. Verified by a normal vehicle chase truck and gps. I can think of several reasons for the tach to be slow, but none that make sense to me for the tach to be 200-300 rpm high.
Any suggestions or...
RE: Tire pressure
I won't be able to make it. The closest even to my house of the year as well. Colton has a football game at about the same time. You guys have fun.
RE: Re: RE: Pictures of towbar feet
You can go to the bumper, but it you do. Why are you not using the shackle mounts and the proper feet? My Gasser in the pictures above had no bumper to hook to.
Sermis has some of the chain axle wraps. Or at least he did a week ago.
M1075, we only had 4...
RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Racks & bows for M105A2 trailer
FMJ is a member here on SS. That is his user name. Send him a PM. He lives in Las Cruses. When I was at his place in May, he had sevral 105's that were complete.
RE: Re: RE: Pictures of towbar feet
We could hit 45 down hill. Almost got 50 once even. 25-30 up most hills. I was in 2nd at 12 mph going up the big climb in the Arbuckle range. We had 2 M35's and 2 M105A2's for each set of trucks. Kind of heavy.
6 hours from Exit 130 to Texas. 6 more...
